Feistein Lighthouse

Figgjoelva or Figgjo is a river in Rogaland county, Norway. The 26.4-kilometre (16.4 mi) long river begins at the lake Edlandsvatnet in the village of Ålgård in Gjesdal municipality. It then heads north into the municipality of Sandnes before heading west. For a while, the river forms the municipal border between Sandnes and Time and between Sandnes and Klepp. The last part of the river runs west through Klepp before emptying into the North Sea. The Feistein Lighthouse lies on a small island, just northwest of the mouth of the river. The main part of the river is 26.4 kilometres (16.4 mi), but if you include the tributaries, the river is about twice as long at 45 kilometres (28 mi).The river was developed for power generation as early as 1870, but the many small power plants that were built are now mostly closed. The plants led to the development of several industries, particularly in Ålgård. The Aalgaards Uldvarefabrikker, a large wool-textile company based in Ålgård was established in 1870 along with the first power stations.The river Figgjo was the second largest salmon river in Rogaland county in the year 2000 when 10.6 tonnes (10.4 long tons; 11.7 short tons) of salmon and 677 kilograms (1,493 lb) of sea trout were caught. Historically, the river was also fished for eels. The invasive species, Elodea canadensis (pondweed) has been detected in the river Figgjo as has agricultural pollution, both of which may affect the quality and quantity of fish life in the river.

Hålandsmarka is a village in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the southwestern part of the municipality, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of the village of Stenebyen. Hålandsmarka is known for a great seaside view of most of the Rogaland coastline, on good days you will be able to see areas as far as 70 kilometres (43 mi) away.The 0.17-square-kilometre (42-acre) village has a population (2019) of 920 and a population density of 5,412 inhabitants per square kilometre (14,020/sq mi).Currently, Hålandsmarka is entirely a residential village, with no commercial or industrial areas. Most inhabitants work in the nearby village of Solakrossen and the Stavanger Airport since they are located a short distance to the north.

Håland (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈhòːlɑn]) is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It was part of the traditional district of Jæren, just west of the city of Stavanger. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1930 when it was split into the two municipalities of Sola and Madla. The 85-square-kilometre (33 sq mi) municipality included the land surrounding the Hafrsfjorden including all of the present-day municipality of Sola and the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger.

Jærens rev (Jæren's reef) is the westernmost sandbank on the coast of Jæren, located approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) off Reve in Klepp municipality, between Orrestranda and Borestranda. Its location has been used to define the limits of the Norwegian fishery zone.

Orrevatnet is a lake in the municipality of Klepp in Rogaland county, Norway. The 8.04-square-kilometre (3.10 sq mi) lake is the largest lake in Jæren. The lake sits about 4 metres (13 ft) above sea level and it is situated along the seashore. The 500-to-2,500-metre (1,600 to 8,200 ft) wide sandy beach strip of land that separates the lake from the sea is home to one of Norway's longest sand beaches, Orrestranda. The village of Orre lies on this strip of land to the southeast of the lake.

Bore is a village in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the municipal centre of Kleppe. The village lies between the river Figgjoelva, the lake Orrevatnet, and the seashore. Bore Church sits just north of the river, just outside of the village. The Bore area is well known for its sandy beaches along the seashore.

Stenebyen or Tjelta is a village in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the south part of the municipality, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southeast of the village of Hålandsmarka. The 0.39-square-kilometre (96-acre) village has a population (2019) of 1,004 and a population density of 2,574 inhabitants per square kilometre (6,670/sq mi).

Old Orre Church (Norwegian: Orre gamle kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Klepp Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Orre. It formerly was the main church for the Orre parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The small stone church was built in a long church style around the year 1250 using designs by English monks. The church seats about 150 people. It is situated on a small sandy strip of land between the lake Orrevatnet and the Orrestranda beach along the North Sea.

Bore Church (Norwegian: Bore kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Klepp Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bore. It is the church for the Bore parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1891 using designs by the architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff. The church seats about 165 people.

Orre is a village and parish in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located just southwest of the lake Orrevatnet, between the lake and the ocean. Orre is the location of the Orrestranda beach, one of the longest sand beaches in Norway. The area is very flat, and it is primarily used for agriculture. The Old Orre Church, built in the 1200s, is located in Orre. The "new" Orre Church was built in 1950 in the nearby village of Pollestad, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the southeast.

The main industries in Voll include agriculture, a Tine dairy facility, and Malm Orstad AS, an oil services company.

Klepp is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Kleppe. Other villages in Klepp include Klepp stasjon, Orre, Orstad, Pollestad, Verdalen, and Voll. Klepp is a flat and open agricultural landscape. The highest point, Tinghaug, is at 102 metres (335 ft) above sea level. There are long stretches of sand beaches along the North Sea coastline in the west.The 113-square-kilometre (44 sq mi) municipality is the 324th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Klepp is the 63rd most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 20,615. The municipality's population density is 201.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (522/sq mi) and its population has increased by 13.1% over the previous 10-year period. The population around Kleppe is growing rapidly, mostly in the form of suburban single-family homes, but also in the form of some apartment blocks. There is a shopping mall in Kleppe called Jærhagen.
