Hålandsmarka

Håland (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈhòːlɑn]) is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It was part of the traditional district of Jæren, just west of the city of Stavanger. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1930 when it was split into the two municipalities of Sola and Madla. The 85-square-kilometre (33 sq mi) municipality included the land surrounding the Hafrsfjorden including all of the present-day municipality of Sola and the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger.

Stenebyen or Tjelta is a village in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the south part of the municipality, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southeast of the village of Hålandsmarka. The 0.39-square-kilometre (96-acre) village has a population (2019) of 1,004 and a population density of 2,574 inhabitants per square kilometre (6,670/sq mi).

Ræge Church (Norwegian: Ræge kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Sola Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located just north of the village of Stenebyen. It is the church for the Ræge parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, concrete, modern church was built in a rectangular design in 2009 using designs by the architect Henriette Sagland from the architectural firm Link Signatur. The church seats about 300 people.

Solastranda or Solastranden (English: The Sola Beach) is a 2.3-kilometer (1.4 mi) long sandy beach in Norway, located 2-kilometer (1.2 mi) from Stavanger Airport, Sola and 15-kilometer (9.3 mi) from Stavanger. The beach is a popular beach for swimming and sunbathing in the summer. Windsurfing and surfing are popular all-year-round activities at Solastranden. Sola Strand Hotel that also houses toilets and dressing room facilities is at the south end of the beach. A farm beach resort also offers dining and banquet facilities. There are also traces of German military activity from World War II. Sola Golfcourse is nearby the beach.

Figgjoelva or Figgjo is a river in Rogaland county, Norway. The 26.4-kilometre (16.4 mi) long river begins at the lake Edlandsvatnet in the village of Ålgård in Gjesdal municipality. It then heads north into the municipality of Sandnes before heading west. For a while, the river forms the municipal border between Sandnes and Time and between Sandnes and Klepp. The last part of the river runs west through Klepp before emptying into the North Sea. The Feistein Lighthouse lies on a small island, just northwest of the mouth of the river. The main part of the river is 26.4 kilometres (16.4 mi), but if you include the tributaries, the river is about twice as long at 45 kilometres (28 mi).The river was developed for power generation as early as 1870, but the many small power plants that were built are now mostly closed. The plants led to the development of several industries, particularly in Ålgård. The Aalgaards Uldvarefabrikker, a large wool-textile company based in Ålgård was established in 1870 along with the first power stations.The river Figgjo was the second largest salmon river in Rogaland county in the year 2000 when 10.6 tonnes (10.4 long tons; 11.7 short tons) of salmon and 677 kilograms (1,493 lb) of sea trout were caught. Historically, the river was also fished for eels. The invasive species, Elodea canadensis (pondweed) has been detected in the river Figgjo as has agricultural pollution, both of which may affect the quality and quantity of fish life in the river.

Voll is a small village in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located a short distance north of the river Figgjoelva, just north of the villages of Bore and Verdalen. The main industries in Voll include agriculture, a Tine dairy facility, and Malm Orstad AS, an oil services company.

Sola Chapel (Norwegian: Sola kapell; historically: Sola Church) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Sola Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Solakrossen. It formerly was the main church for the Sola parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The stone church was built in a long church design in 1955 using designs by the architect Gustav Helland. The church seats about 300 people.

Sola is a municipality and a Seaside resort in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Solakrossen. Other villages include Tananger, Hålandsmarka, Sørnes, and Stenebyen. Stavanger Airport is located in Sola, just a short distance from the large Stavanger/Sandnes metropolitan area. The 69-square-kilometre (27 sq mi) municipality is the 342nd largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Sola is the 41st most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 28,315. The municipality's population density is 411.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,066/sq mi) and its population has increased by 15.2f% over the previous 10-year period. In the western part of Sola, there are 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) of long, sandy beaches facing the North Sea. With usually ample supplies of wind and waves, the sandy beaches are a popular place for windsurfing.

Bore Church (Norwegian: Bore kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Klepp Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bore. It is the church for the Bore parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1891 using designs by the architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff. The church seats about 165 people.

Bore is a village in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the municipal centre of Kleppe. The village lies between the river Figgjoelva, the lake Orrevatnet, and the seashore. Bore Church sits just north of the river, just outside of the village. The Bore area is well known for its sandy beaches along the seashore.

Stavanger Air Traffic Control Center or Stavanger ATCC (Norwegian: Stavanger kontrollsentral) is responsible for the controlled airspace above Western Norway. The area control center is located at Stavanger Airport, Sola. The Control Center is owned and operated by the state enterprise Avinor. In 2006, Avinor's board had projected the closure of Oslo ATCC in 2012, transferring its responsibilities to Stavanger ATCC. However, this decision was revoked, and the air traffic distribution among ATCCs remains unchanged.

Stavanger Airport (Norwegian: Stavanger lufthavn; IATA: SVG, ICAO: ENZV), commonly just known as Sola, is an international airport located in Rogaland county, Norway. The airport is located 6 NM (11 km; 6.9 mi) southwest of the centre of the city of Stavanger inside the neighboring municipality of Sola and it serves the Stavanger, Sola, Sandnes area as well as serves as a regional hub for southwest Norway. It is Norway's third-busiest airport, with both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter traffic for the offshore North Sea oil installations. In addition, the Royal Norwegian Air Force operates Westland Sea King search and rescue helicopters from Sola Air Station. The airport had 85,306 air movements and 4,501,368 passengers in 2015. Five airlines offered domestic flights to nine destinations while ten airlines offered international flights to 37 destinations. Two helicopter companies operate out of Sola. The busiest route is Sola–Oslo Gardermoen, which has about 28 daily flights. In the vicinity of the airport there is an aeronautical museum, Flyhistorisk Museum, Sola.
