Madhavaram is a state assembly constituency in the Chennai district of Tamil Nadu, India formed after constituency delimitation with more than 2 lakh voters. Its State Assembly Constituency number is 9. It is included in the Thiruvallur Lok Sabha constituency. It consists of areas like Mathur MMDA, Manali, Milk Colony, Ponniammedu, Madhavaram, Puzhal. It was divided from the Ambattur taluk. It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu.

Madhavaram Milk Colony is a neighbourhood in north of Chennai, a metropolitan city in Chennai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Madhavaram Milk Colony is a small habitat of 5000+ population in the northern part of Chennai. Due to the set up of first co-operative milk producing union Aavin of Chennai, this place was called Madhavaram Milk Colony. Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is situated here. A pharmacy major - Retort Laboratories and Herbal Soap manufacturer - Medimix also have their presence here. In addition, the palm project and horticulture society have their presence here. The domestic animals park inside the Milk colony is an attraction for children. The Madhavaram Botanical Garden is situated here.

Madhavaram Milk Colony metro station is an upcoming underground-interchange metro station on the Purple Line and Red Line of Chennai Metro in Chennai, India. This metro station will be among the 28 underground stations of Corridor III and 6 underground stations of Corridor V of the Chennai Metro. This station is slated to be operational by 2027, making it a key metro rail terminal hub of North Chennai.
