Salt (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsal]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Gironès in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the right bank of the Ter next to Girona, with which it was merged from 1974 to 1984. The A-7 autopista and N-141 road pass through the municipality. From 1895, Salt was the temporary Girona terminus of the narrow gauge Olot–Girona railway, until the short section to Girona railway station was opened in 1898. Initially the line ran only as far as Amer, but it was extended to Les Planes d'Hostoles in 1900, Sant Feliu de Pallerols in 1902 and Olot in 1911. The line closed in 1969 and has since been converted into a greenway.

Marrecs de Salt (Catalan pronunciation: [məˈrɛɡz ðə ˈsal]) is a group of castellers (human tower builders) from Salt, Girona (Catalonia), founded in 1995. They are also to be considered as the local group in Girona, together with their university counterpart: Xoriguers de la UdG. They are one of the seven active groups in the province of Girona, and since the dissolution of Castellers de l'Albera, also the oldest. Their best human tower is the 5 in 8 and their best performance was on 27 October 2013 for the performance of Sant Narcís in the city of Girona, were they completed the 4 in 8, the 2 in 8 with double base, the 3 in 8 and the pillar of 6. Their shirt is blue standing for the river Ter, which flows through both Salt and Girona, as well as other regions of the province.

El Celler de Can Roca is a restaurant in Girona, Catalonia, Spain opened in 1986 by the Roca brothers, Joan, Josep and Jordi. It was first located next to their parents' restaurant Can Roca, but moved to its current purpose-built building in 2007. It has been received warmly by critics, and holds three Michelin stars. El Celler de Can Roca was ranked the best restaurant in the world by the magazine Restaurant in 2013 and 2015, and was ranked second in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2018.

Sarrià de Ter (Catalan pronunciation: [səriˈa ðə ˈtɛɾ]) is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the metropolitan area of the city of Girona. Sarrià borders Sant Julià de Ramis to the north, Girona to the south and east, and Sant Gregori to the west. Its territory occupies slightly more than four square kilometers. As of 2015, Sarrià de Ter had a population of 4,973. In 1976, Sarrià was formally annexed to the neighboring city of Girona. In 1979, with the return to democratic municipal government across Spain after the end of the Francoist State, Sarrià de Ter regained its status as an independent municipality.

Pavelló Girona-Fontajau is an indoor arena in Girona, Catalonia, northern Spain, that holds 5,500 people. It is primarily used for basketball and is the home arena of Uni Girona CB and Bàsquet Girona. The building was designed in 1993 by the architects Esteve Bonell and Josep M. Gil and was opened on September 4, 1993. It is structured in two levels, one for the public (the high level) and another, of which use is restricted to the sportsmen (the low level), with differentiated entries. Apart from basketball, it is used also for other sports like Indoor motorcycle trials and tennis matches.

The Güell (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈɡweʎ]) is a river in Catalonia, Spain. It has a length of 1.5 kilometres (0.9 mi) and passes through the city of Girona.

The Josep Trueta University Hospital (Catalan: Hospital Universitari de Girona Doctor Josep Trueta, Spanish: Hospital Universitario Doctor Josep Trueta) is a public hospital in the city of Girona in Catalonia. It was opened on 13 April 1956 in honour of the Catalan surgeon Dr Josep Trueta. The hospital has several departments, but most notably an emergency department, an ICU with almost 100 beds and its own oncology wing.The hospital is managed by the Catalan public health authority, CatSalut.

Vilablareix is a small village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain.

The Collegiate Church of St. Felix (Catalan: Col·legiata de Sant Feliu) is a basilica dedicated to St. Felix in the Catalan city of Girona, dating to the early days of Christianity. It houses the offices of the Parish of Sant Feliu, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Girona, so called because it was the main church of Girona before the construction of the Girona Cathedral. Its construction, in honor of Felix of Girona (Sant Feliu), occurred from the 12th century until the 17th century. It retains much of the Romanesque construction, completed later with a Gothic nave and a covered baroque facade. It is notable for its eight Roman and early Christian sarcophagi of the 3rd and 4th centuries, along with the Gothic tomb of Narcissus of Girona who, according to tradition, was one of the early bishops of the see.
