Waseda El Dorado

The Ōkuma Auditorium (大隈講堂, Ōkuma kōdō), officially the Waseda University Ōkuma Memorial Hall (早稲田大学大隈記念講堂, Waseda daigaku Ōkuma kinen kōdō), is a Tudor Gothic auditorium of Waseda University in Totsuka, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Designed primarily by Kōichi Satō, construction of the auditorium was planned to begin in 1923 following the death of Waseda founder Ōkuma Shigenobu. Its construction was halted by the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake but eventually began in 1926. It opened in 1927, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the founding of Waseda University. The auditorium includes a large hall with a capacity of over 1,100 seats and a basement hall of about 300 seats. The university's activities, lectures and concerts are held in the auditorium. The clock tower chimes six times a day.It was classified as a historic building by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 1999 and officially designated as an Important Cultural Property in 2007.

Ōkuma Garden (大隈庭園, Ōkuma teien) is a Japanese garden located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It belongs to Waseda University. The garden covers an area of about 3,000 square metres. It was previously the residence of the Ii family and Matsudaira clan. In 1884, Shigenobu Ōkuma, the founder of Waseda University, remodeled the garden into semi-Western style. He placed a vast lawn, artificial hills, and ponds, and grew melons in a hothouse for the first time in Japan. After his death, the garden was donated to Waseda University. Although it suffered serious damage in the air raid of 1945, it was almost restored and now is a recreation place for students. The garden features an extensive lawn, brooks, seasonal plants and walking paths. There are lanterns, small stone pagodas, statues. Reduced-size replica of “Shotoku-Daiou-Shinkyo” which was donated by the Korean graduates’ association in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the university, now adorns the garden. Okuma Garden is located approximately 5 minutes' walk from Waseda Station, and it is open from 11:00 until 16:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during the semesters, April to December. It is closed on rainy days.

Waseda Station (早稲田駅, Waseda-eki) is a subway station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, operated by Tokyo Metro. Its station number is T-04. It is separate from Waseda Station on the Tokyo Sakura Tram.

The Waseda International House of Literature, also known as the Haruki Murakami Library, is an academic building, library, and museum exhibition space at Waseda University in Shinjuku designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

Waseda University Junior and Senior High School (早稲田大学高等学院・高等学院中学部, Waseda Daigaku Kōtō Gakuin Chūgakubu) is a high school in Japan, located in Tokyo. It was founded in 1920 as a high school affiliated to Waseda University. Its motto is "independence of learning" (学問の独立, gakumon-no-dokuritsu)., which is the same motto as for Waseda University.

Waseda is among the select Japanese universities assigned additional funding under the MEXT's Top Global University Project to enhance Japan's global educational competitiveness.Waseda is organized into thirty-six departments: thirteen undergraduate schools and twenty-three graduate schools. As of May 2016, there were 42,860 undergraduate students and 8,269 graduate students. In addition to a central campus in Shinjuku, the university operates campuses in Chūō, Nishitōkyō, Tokorozawa, Honjō, and Kitakyūshū. Waseda also operates twenty-one research institutes at its main Shinjuku campus. The Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum of Waseda University is a university museum devoted to the history of drama, with facilities used for cultural performances from all over the world. The museum was named for Tsubouchi Shōyō, a famous writer known for his work with theater and translation of the collected works of Shakespeare into Japanese. It is commonly known as Enpaku in Japanese.

The collections of Waseda University Library (早稲田大学図書館; Waseda Daigaku Toshokan) form one of the largest libraries in Japan. Established in 1882, they currently hold some 5.6 million volumes and 46,000 serials.

Waseda University School of International Liberal Studies (SILS, 国際教養学部) is the 10th department established in 2004 under the Faculty of International Research and Education. The School of International Liberal Studies conducts all classes in English under the premise of multiculturalism, which is not limited to a certain language or culture. The students who speak Japanese follow Study Plan 1 (SP1) and those who speak other languages other than Japanese follow Study Plan 2 (SP2). The students from foreign institutes as exchange students follow Study Plan 3 (SP3). It is mandatory for the Study Plan 1 students to study abroad prior to their graduation. As of May 2015, there are 715 international students enrolled in the department, the most of any other department at Waseda.

Waseda Station (早稲田停留場, Waseda teiryūjō) is a station on the Tokyo Sakura Tram. This is the terminus of the line. It is separate from Waseda Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.

Higo Hosokawa Garden (肥後細川庭園, Higo Hosokawa Kōen) is a Japanese garden located near the Kanda River in Bunkyō, Tokyo. The garden underwent renovation work and along with this there was a request for submission of a new name for the garden. The name was changed from Shin-Edogawa Garden (新江戸川区公園, Shin Edogawa Kōen) on March 18, 2017. Formerly the second home of Hosokawa, the head of Kumamoto Domain at the end of the Edo period, the premises later became the main residence of the Hosokawa family. The park features a circular hill-and-pond garden that makes clever use of changes in elevation and emphasizes the garden's natural scenery. There are natural springs, stone lanterns, bamboo fences; the pond contains carps. The entrance building Shoseikaku, which was constructed in the Taisho era, was a studying place of the Hosokawa family. The garden can be accessed by walking from Waseda Station or Edogawabashi Station. Regular hours are from 9:00 to 17:00. Admission is free. A gate between the Shin-Edogawa park and the Eisei Bunko Museum is opened from 10:00 to 16:00. Migration in two of facilities becomes possible this time.

The Eisei Bunko Museum (永青文庫, Eisei Bunko) is a museum in Bunkyo-ku district in Tokyo, Japan. Its collection includes historical documents and artifacts, and works of fine art. The museum is located what was formerly the grounds of the Hosokawa clan, near the Shin-Edogawa Garden.
