Nishitōkyō

Tanashi Station (田無駅, Tanashi-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Nishitōkyō, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway.

Musashino University (武蔵野大学, Musashino Daigaku) is an institution of higher education in Ariake, a district in Kōtō, Tokyo, with a suburban campus in Nishitōkyō. Musashino University is uniquely focused on the ideals associated with the Hongwanji Jodo Shinshu School of Buddhism.

Tanashi (田無市, Tanashi-shi) was a city located in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. Tanashi means the land without rice. Because of the area's elevation relative to the Tamagawa River, traditional irrigation and rice farming was impossible. Hence, the area was named Tanashi. At the time of its merger, the city had an estimated population of 78,165 and a density of 11,495 persons per km2. The total area was 6.8 km2. The area of modern Tanashi prospered during the Edo period as a post station on the Ome Kaido and Tokorozawa Kaido, and was part of ancient Musashi Province. After the Meiji Restoration it came under the jurisdiction of the short-lived prefectures of Shinagawa (1868) and Irima (1871), before becoming part of Kanagawa in 1872. During the early Meiji period (1878) cadastral reform, it became the town of Tanashi within Kitatama District in Kanagawa. The entire district was transferred to the administrative control of Tokyo Metropolis in 1893. Tanashi was connected to central Tokyo by train from 1927. Tanashi was elevated to city status in 1967. On January 21, 2001, Tanashi was merged with the neighboring city of Hoya to create the city of Nishi-Tōkyō, and thus Tanashi no longer exists as an independent municipality.

The Asia University of Japan (亜細亜大学, Ajia Daigaku) is a private university located in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan that offers courses in Business Administration, Economics, Law, International Relations and Urban Innovation. The university was founded in 1941 by Kozo Ota as Koa Senmon Gakko (Koa Professional School) on the site of the present Asia University campus. Ota believed that education should be based on a spiritual closeness between teachers and students. It was a unique school at the time, as it accommodated all students in dormitories divided by course of study; Continental Asia, Southern Pacific Islands and Japan ("Homeland"). It shares its name with another university located in Taiwan. The University produced an animated short, in 2015, to promote its Department of Urban Innovation.

Koganei Park (小金井公園, Koganei Kōen) is a metropolitan park in Tokyo, having entrances in Koganei City, Kodaira City, Nishitokyo City, and Musashino City.

Kaetsu University (嘉悦大学, Kaetsu daigaku) is a private university in Kodaira, Tokyo, Japan, established in 2001. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1903. The school was founded by Taka Kaetsu in 1903 as a women's commercial school. It was renamed Japan Commercial Girls’ School in 1919 and the Japan Commercial Girls’ High School in 1929. In 1944 it became the Japan Women's College of Economics and the Japan Women's College of Economics in 1950, awarding certified public accountant degrees. The school was renamed Kaetsu Women's College and relocated to its present location in 1982. A four-year Department of Management and Economics for men and women was established in 2001, with the two-year program continuing to be offered only to women. A graduate program was created in 2010.

Musashi-Sakai Station (武蔵境駅, Musashi-sakai-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station located in the city of Musashino, Tokyo, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway company, Seibu Railway.

Hana-Koganei Station (花小金井駅, Hana-Koganei-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Kodaira, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway. Located near the border of Kodaira with Higashikurume and Nishitokyo, the station serves passengers from all three municipalities.

Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University (日本獣医生命科学大学, Nippon jūi seimei kagaku daigaku), NVLU in short, is a private university in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded 1881, and it was chartered as a university in 1949. Since 1952 NVLU has been merged into the Nippon Medical School (日本医科大学 Nihon ika daigaku), although they maintain separate identities for the medical and veterinary schools.
