Lake Rawa Pening

Kampoeng Rawa (Javanese: ꦏꦩ꧀ꦥꦸꦁ​​ꦫꦮ, romanized: Kampung Rawa) is a tourist attraction located within the green belt around Lake Rawa Pening of Ambarawa in Central Java, Indonesia. Opened in August 2012, it is owned and operated by twelve groups of farmers and fishermen who were funded by the Artha Prima Credit Union. It is intended to improve the welfare of local farmers and fishermen while promoting an understanding of the lake's ecology. Facilities include a floating restaurant, pendopo, crafts centre, fishing area, and docks. During holidays the site may be visited by several thousand people. It has been challenged for its lack of permission to build in the green belt and the possible ecological impact.

The Tuntang (Indonesian: Kali Tuntang) is a major river of northern Central Java, Indonesia, about 400 km east of the capital Jakarta. It connects Lake Rawa Pening to the Java Sea, east of Semarang. There is a hydroelectric powerstation on the river near the lake.

The Ambarawa Railway Museum, (Indonesian: Museum Kereta Api Ambarawa, officially named Indonesian Railway Museum by the Indonesian Railway Company) is a museum located in Ambarawa in Central Java, Indonesia. The museum preserves around 21 steam locomotives and focusing on tourism train tour hauled by 3 operational steam engines (both are rack locomotives and a 4-4-0 two cylinder compound steam engine) and a hydraulic diesel engine, using the remains of the closing of the 3 ft 6 in (1,067 mm) railway line.

Ambarawa is a town (and administratively, a district of the Semarang Regency) located between the city of Semarang and Salatiga in Central Java, Indonesia.
