Colonial High School is a public high school located in Orlando, Florida, United States. Colonial serves grades 9–12 within the neighborhoods of Azalea Park, Engelwood Park, Rio Pinar, Lake Fredrica, Ventura, Pershing, Vista East, Vista Park and parts of unincorporated Orange County.

Orlando Christian Prep was founded in 1960, and is currently a ministry of Orlando Baptist Church. Considered one of the most established Christian schools in the greater Orlando area, OCP serves over 600 students from various backgrounds. The school is separated into four academic divisions including Pre-K (K2-K4), Elementary (K5-5th), Middle School (6th-8th), and High School (9th-12th).

Barry Law offers various programs for full-time and part-time students, including a three-year daytime program and a four-year extended studies program in the evening for working students.The July 2018 Florida bar passage rate was 45.5%, vs. a statewide average of 67.2%. The 2020 class had an average LSAT of 148 and an average GPA of 3.02, with the school having a 58.99% acceptance rate and an enrollment rate from those accepted of 21.84%.

The Little Econ Greenway is a multiuse trail in Orange County, Florida, United States, maintained by Orange County Parks and Recreation. The Little Econ Greenway runs 7.5 miles from Forsyth Road to Alafaya Trail. From the east, the trail follows Lokanotosa Road before turning off behind University High School. The first road crossing from the east is Rouse Road which jogs to the north. The trail follows the Little Econlockhatchee River, past Blanchard Park, and under two underpasses (at Dean Road and at Econlockhatchee Trail). Two road crossing are at Harrell Road and Goldenrod Road as the trail continues to its western terminus at Forsyth Road. A few miles north of this trail, the Cady Way Trail also crosses Forsyth Road, a direct link is planned in the future. From the Cady Way Trail, the Orange County Trail System links to the Cross Seminole Trail.

On June 5, 2017, John Robert Neumann Jr., a 45-year-old former employee of Fiamma, killed five former colleagues inside a FIamma Inc. location in Orlando, Florida, before killing himself. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Neumann did not appear to belong to any kind of subversive or terrorist group, and that he appeared to be a "disgruntled employee".

Orlando Sports Stadium (a.k.a. Eddie Graham Sports Complex) was an indoor arena, located in Orlando, Florida at 2285 N Econlockhatchee Trail. The venue was opened in 1967 by GC "Pete" Ashlock and was sold in 1981 to Edward Gossett (Eddie Graham) and renamed after professional wrestler and promoter Eddie Graham. After his death the venue transferred to Mike Graham and later, Tony Andrews. It closed in 1993 and was demolished in 1995. During its existence, it hosted numerous concerts, professional wrestling and boxing contests.The arena played host to rock band Led Zeppelin on August 31, 1971, and the Rolling Thunder Revue concert tour on April 23, 1976, headed by Bob Dylan, as well as Elvis Presley who played there on February 15, 1977, six months before his death.The Beach Boys, Edgar Winter and Deep Purple played concerts there. Former world champion kick boxer Don "The Dragon" Wilson from Cocoa Beach fought there. George Wallace campaigned for president there. The building was a basic indoor arena, no air conditioning, concrete floor, wood plank benches, and plywood doors on the stalls in the bathroom. It was closed by the Orange County Building Department because of code violations and was demolished in November 1995. The land on which it stood is now occupied by a housing development called Econ River Estates.

Downey Park is a 47-acre (190,000 m2) park in Union Park, Florida. The park is operated by Orange County Parks and Recreation, and offers a variety of programs and recreational opportunities for local residents. Its facilities include a baseball complex (home of the Union Park Little League) with four baseball fields and one softball field, a fishing dock, two rentable pavilions, a water playground (The Splash Pad), a seasonally lifeguarded lakefront with a swimming area, a skate park, a basketball court, picnic areas, and two playgrounds. The park is operated 363 days a year; it is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Orange County is a county located in Central Florida, and as of the 2020 census, its population was 1,429,908 making it Florida's fifth-most populous county. Its county seat is Orlando, the core of the Orlando metropolitan area, which had a population of 2.67 million in 2020.
