Orlando Sports Stadium (a.k.a. Eddie Graham Sports Complex) was an indoor arena, located in Orlando, Florida at 2285 N Econlockhatchee Trail. The venue was opened in 1967 by GC "Pete" Ashlock and was sold in 1981 to Edward Gossett (Eddie Graham) and renamed after professional wrestler and promoter Eddie Graham. After his death the venue transferred to Mike Graham and later, Tony Andrews. It closed in 1993 and was demolished in 1995. During its existence, it hosted numerous concerts, professional wrestling and boxing contests.The arena played host to rock band Led Zeppelin on August 31, 1971, and the Rolling Thunder Revue concert tour on April 23, 1976, headed by Bob Dylan, as well as Elvis Presley who played there on February 15, 1977, six months before his death.The Beach Boys, Edgar Winter and Deep Purple played concerts there. Former world champion kick boxer Don "The Dragon" Wilson from Cocoa Beach fought there. George Wallace campaigned for president there. The building was a basic indoor arena, no air conditioning, concrete floor, wood plank benches, and plywood doors on the stalls in the bathroom. It was closed by the Orange County Building Department because of code violations and was demolished in November 1995. The land on which it stood is now occupied by a housing development called Econ River Estates.

Downey Park is a 47-acre (190,000 m2) park in Union Park, Florida. The park is operated by Orange County Parks and Recreation, and offers a variety of programs and recreational opportunities for local residents. Its facilities include a baseball complex (home of the Union Park Little League) with four baseball fields and one softball field, a fishing dock, two rentable pavilions, a water playground (The Splash Pad), a seasonally lifeguarded lakefront with a swimming area, a skate park, a basketball court, picnic areas, and two playgrounds. The park is operated 363 days a year; it is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

On June 5, 2017, John Robert Neumann Jr., a 45-year-old former employee of Fiamma, killed five former colleagues inside a FIamma Inc. location in Orlando, Florida, before killing himself. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Neumann did not appear to belong to any kind of subversive or terrorist group, and that he appeared to be a "disgruntled employee".

Trinity Preparatory School of Florida is an independent college preparatory day-school for students in grades 6 to 12, located in Winter Park, a suburb of Orlando. It is affiliated with the Episcopal Church and is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools.Trinity Prep was established in 1968 by Rev. Canon A Rees Hay. The first class had 173 students and served the grades 7-12.Trinity Preparatory School is ranked No.1 private high school, No.1 high school for STEM, No.1 Christian high school, and No. 2 college prep private high school in the Orlando area by Niche. In 2019, Trinity Prep was voted a top private school for grades 9-12 as well as grades 6-8 in the Orlando Magazine "Best of Orlando 2019."

The Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law (also known as Barry Law) is located in Orlando, Florida. The school is an academic college of Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Barry Law offers various programs for full-time and part-time students, including a three-year daytime program and a four-year extended studies program in the evening for working students.The July 2018 Florida bar passage rate was 45.5%, vs. a statewide average of 67.2%. The 2020 class had an average LSAT of 148 and an average GPA of 3.02, with the school having a 58.99% acceptance rate and an enrollment rate from those accepted of 21.84%.

The Cady Way Trail is a 6.5-mile (10.5 km) rail trail in the Orlando, Florida area opened in 1994. It is partly owned by the Orlando Department of Families, Parks and Recreation and partly by Orange County Parks and Recreation. The project was awarded a $1,750,000 Transportation Enhancement grant by the Federal Highway Administration and the Florida Department of Transportation, and a $483,000 grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Full Sail University is a private for-profit university in Winter Park, Florida. It was formerly a recording studio in Ohio named Full Sail Productions and Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. The school moved to Florida in 1980 and began offering online degrees in 2007.Full Sail is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges to award associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in audio, design, computer animation and business. In November 2018, it had approximately 8,921 students at its Winter Park Campus, as well as 10,250 students enrolled in online courses.

University High School is a public high school in Orlando, Florida opened in 1990. The school is a part of Orange County Public Schools and is located about a mile from the University of Central Florida. University High School serves the East Orlando neighborhoods of Union Park, Alafaya, University, Cypress Springs, and other unincorporated parts of East Orange County. University High School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) magnet program, and a Performing Fine Arts magnet program which began in the 2019–20 school year. University High School also has a well known Athletic Training program, Veterinary Assisting program, Culinary Program, Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) classes. The school has been named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.The school's mascot is a Florida Cougar named Casey the Cougar. The school colors are navy blue and vegas gold. University's main rival is Colonial High School. University and Colonial face off in an annual football game known as Crush Colonial or the Boot Game; the winner takes home the Boot trophy and hosts next year's rival game at their school. University High School's main campus is designed in a square architectural layout with a courtyard in the middle, with classrooms are located in buildings surrounding the main plaza. Along with this, the main campus includes the 25th building (a separate two-story building, built in 2011) and two rows of portables located at both west and east ends of the school. The East or Innovation Campus (formerly the Freshman Campus) is located across the street from the Main Campus and is predominantly unused due to plans to tear the campus down. Nonetheless, many of the East Campus's remaining portables and cafeteria are still of use to the school and students. University High School's campus's design differs greatly from other OCPS High Schools.
