Hürth-Kalscheuren station

Friedhof Trenkebergstraße is a cemetery in Cologne, Germany. The cemetery is 4,600 m2 and offers space for 790 graves. Furthermore, there are 16 graves in this cemetery for German victims of the Second World War.

Hürth is a town in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Hürth shares borders with the city of Cologne and is about 6 km to the southwest of Cologne city centre, at the northeastern slope of the natural preserve Kottenforst-Ville. The town consists of thirteen districts, once independent villages, and is distributed over a relatively large area. The municipal area is interspersed with lakes and stretches of forest. In former times, the Eifel Aqueduct, a Roman aqueduct which supplied the city of Cologne with drinking water, went through Hürth. Remnants of various aqueducts can still be found underground. It is also famous as the birthplace of Michael Schumacher.

Flight Lieutenant Cyril Burfield Ridley (15 January 1895 – 17 May 1920) was a British World War I flying ace, who served in the Royal Naval Air Service and the Royal Air Force, before being killed in a flying accident in 1920.

Südfriedhof is the German name for the South Cemetery in Cologne, Germany. With an area of over 61 hectares, it is the largest cemetery in Cologne.Südfriedhof also has sections for 2,596 Commonwealth war graves from prisoners of war mainly from the First World War. There are also over 1,900 Italian prisoners of war buried here. More dramatically, but less acknowledged, the cemetery contains the remains of around 40,000 civilian victims of the bombing of Cologne in the Second World War.

Sülzburgstraße is a station on the Cologne Stadtbahn line 18, located in the Cologne district of Lindenthal. The station lies on Luxemburger Straße, adjacent to nearby Sülzburgstraße, after which the station is named. The station was opened in 1898 and consists of one island platform with two rail tracks.

Brühl (pronounced [bʁyːl] (listen)) is a town in the Rhineland, Germany. It is located in the district of Rhine-Erft, 20 km south of the Cologne city center and at the edge of the Rhineland Nature Park, a famous nature reserve.

Kierberg station is on the Eifel Railway, connecting Cologne, Euskirchen, Gerolstein and Trier in Kierberg, a suburb of Brühl in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is served by Regionalbahn service RB 24 from Cologne via Euskirchen to Kall. The former station building for the German Emperor called the Kaiserbahnhof (imperial station) now serves as the Kaiserbahnhof restaurant.

Sülz (German pronunciation: [ˈzʏlts]; Kölsch: Sölz [zølts²]) is a municipal part of Cologne, Germany and part of the district of Lindenthal. Sülz lies on Luxemburger Straße between Lindenthal and Klettenberg. Sülz has 35.475 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2008) and covers an area of 5,17 km2 (pop. density 6.862 inhabitants/km2). The name Sülz goes back to Sulpece, first mentioned in 1145 as a possession of the Church of St. Pantaleon. The 12th century Weißhaus (white house) is a water castle and the oldest building in Sülz. The district is served by Cologne Stadtbahn lines 9 along its North-West, 18 in its South-East and 13 crossing them in the South of Sülz. It hosts some of the eastmost premises of the University, just at and outside the edge of main campus.

The Army Office (German: Heeresamt, HA) in Cologne was one of the two command pillars of the German Army, alongside the Army Forces Command (Heeresführungskommando, HFüKdo), until both were merged to create the current Army Command (Kommand Heer, KdoHeer). This disbandment and merging was done according to the new direction of the Bundeswehr, and the 2011 Basing Concept (Stationierungskonzept 2011). At the time of its merger, the Army Office was made up 1,100 soldiers and civil servants who were responsible for the conceptual development of the Army, as well as its training and equipment. In addition the Army Office was responsible for the organisational structure of the Army, for issues to do with in-service systems, and for managing logistic support to the Army. Reporting to the Army Office were the Training Schools and Training Centres. The Army Office was subordinate to the General Staff. After the disbandment of the Army Office and its merger with the Army Forces Command, its premises and large parts of its personnel have been transferred to the new Army Concepts and Capabilities Development Centre (Amt für Heeresentwicklung, AHEntwg), which also inherited the Army Office's Motto.

The Brühl train derailment happened on 6 February 2000 at Brühl, railway station on the West Rhine railway. A train negotiated a low speed turnout at three times the correct speed and derailed, killing 9 people.

Brühl station is a railway station in the city of Brühl in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It consists of a passenger station and a freight yard about a kilometre to the north. Both parts of the station are on the Left Rhine line (German: Linke Rheinstrecke); the freight yard also has a connection via Brühl-Vochem to the Cologne port and freight railway network (Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln AG, HGK).
