Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights Memorial Park (also known as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park) is a 4.5-acre public park in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. The park features Robert Kelly's 30-foot-tall sculpture inspired by King's "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech, which was gifted to the city by the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Committee in 1991. Surrounding the artwork are hills offering views of Rainier Valley. "Civil Rights" was added to the park's name in 2018.

Sick's Stadium, also known as Sick's Seattle Stadium and later as Sicks' Stadium, was a baseball park in the northwest United States in Seattle, Washington. It was located in Rainier Valley, on the NE corner of S. McClellan Street and Rainier Avenue S (currently the site of a Lowe's hardware store). The longtime home of the Seattle Rainiers of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), it hosted the expansion Seattle Pilots during their only major league season in 1969. The site was previously the location of Dugdale Field, a 1913 ballpark that was the home of the Rainiers' forerunners, the Seattle Indians. That park burned down in an Independence Day arson fire in 1932, caused by serial arsonist Robert Driscoll. Authorities would later claim that Driscoll was one of the most dangerous arsonists in the United States during the Great Depression. Until a new stadium could be built on the Dugdale site, the team played at Civic Field, a converted football stadium at the current location of Seattle Center's Memorial Stadium.

Jimi Hendrix Park is a 2.3-acre (0.93 ha) park in Seattle, Washington named in honor of musician Jimi Hendrix, who was from Seattle. The park was named in 2006, and the opening of the park was announced in December, 2011 at the Northwest African American Museum, adjacent to the park, with an opening planned for 2012 to mark the 70th anniversary of the musician's birth. As of summer 2013, the park design had been approved by the city, and development from a large grassy area into the planned guitar-shaped system of pathways and vegetation had not yet begun. The park opened on June 17, 2017. The park's opening was introduced by the Bellevue School of Rock playing the classic Jimi Hendrix tune "Purple Haze." The park was funded by various city funds and donations from the Nisqually Tribe and Janie Hendrix, stepsister of Jimi Hendrix. The Jimi Hendrix park is the fourth public memorial to Hendrix in Seattle, the others being a plaque in Woodland Park Zoo, a bust in his high school's library, and a privately funded sidewalk statue.

Sam Smith Park is a public park operated by Seattle Parks and Recreation, in Seattle, Washington, United States. The park has a bicycle and pedestrian tunnel integrated with the Mount Baker Tunnel. Exercise equipment and tennis courts are also available.

The Mount Baker Tunnel or Mount Baker Ridge Tunnel carries Interstate 90 under the Mount Baker neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It is actually a group of three tunnels that carry eight lanes of freeway traffic, plus a separate path for bicycles and pedestrians. The two originals are twin tunnel bores completed in 1940 and rehabilitated in 1993. The newest tunnel was built north of the original tunnels and opened in June 1989. The tunnel has a double-decked roadway with the bicycle/pedestrian path above the traffic lanes. The tunnel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 (ID #82004243). The east portals of the tunnel, with murals titled Portal of the North Pacific designed by artist James FitzGerald, along with the Lacey V. Murrow Bridge, are an official City of Seattle landmark.The official length is 1,440 feet (440 m), though the perceived length while driving is closer to 1 kilometer (3,300 ft) because of a cut-and-cover "lid" between the western portal and the beginning of the actual tunnel under the Mount Baker ridge. The former west portal, now located well inside the tunnel, is no longer discernible and its two arch structures were removed during 1989–1993 modification work. The eastern end of the tunnel links to the Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge and the Homer M. Hadley Memorial Bridge (collectively the I-90 floating bridge) on Lake Washington, to Mercer Island. At 63 feet (19 m) in diameter, it is the world's largest diameter soft earth tunnel, having been bored through clay.

Judkins Park station will be an at-grade Sound Transit East Link light rail station at the south end of the Central District neighborhood of Seattle. It is expected to open along with the section of the line to Overlake in 2023.

Mount Baker station is a light rail station located in Seattle, Washington. It is situated between the Columbia City and Beacon Hill stations on the 1 Line, which runs from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport to Downtown Seattle, the University of Washington, and Northgate as part of the Link light rail system. The elevated station consists of two side platforms located west of the intersection of Rainier Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Way in the Mount Baker neighborhood, part of Seattle's Rainier Valley. A light rail station in the Mount Baker area was first proposed in 1995 and approved the following year. Construction began in late 2005 and the station was opened for regular service on July 18, 2009. Trains serve the station twenty hours a day on most days; the headway between trains is six minutes during peak periods, with less frequent service at other times. Mount Baker station is also served by five King County Metro bus routes that connect it to Downtown, Capitol Hill, Rainier Beach, the Central District, and the University District.

Mount Baker is a neighborhood in southeast Seattle. The neighborhood's name comes from the view of Mount Baker in Whatcom County, that is seen by looking north over Lake Washington. It is bounded by Lake Washington to the east, Interstate 90 and then Leschi to the north, Rainier Valley to the west, and Columbia City to the south. The neighborhood has a community club and a rowing team. It hosts Seattle's annual Seafair, which includes an airshow featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, hydroplane races, a fireworks show, and other festivities. Franklin High School and Garfield High School serve this area. It is part of Seattle's South End.

That's Amore Italian Cafe is an Italian restaurant in Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood, in the U.S. state of Washington. The cafe has operated from a 1920s commercial building within a historic commercial district since 1994, and has changed ownership. Offering views of Seattle's skyline, That's Amore has garnered a positive reception and is considered one of the city's best Italian restaurants.

Franklin High School is a public high school in Seattle, Washington, located in its Mount Baker neighborhood and administered by Seattle Public Schools. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,315 students and 65.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 20.2:1. There were 676 students (51.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 206 (15.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Judkins Park and Playfield is a public park in Seattle's Central District, in the U.S. state of Washington. The park has a concrete roller rink.The park has been the site of protests and other events, including the Umoja Fest Africatown Heritage Festival & Parade. Thousands gathered for a Black Lives Matter demonstration in 2020. In 2022, demonstrators gathered on May Day in support of immigrant rights. Additionally, the Northwest African American Museum hosted Skate to Freedom Party & Community Day" in conjunction with Juneteenth, and approximately 100 educators gathered on Labor Day in preparation to strike.
