Lake Bled

Bled Castle (Slovene: Blejski grad, German: Burg Veldes) is a medieval castle built on a precipice above the city of Bled in Slovenia, overlooking Lake Bled. According to written sources, it is the oldest Slovenian castle and is currently one of the most visited tourist attractions in Slovenia. Nowadays, the castle is employed as a historical museum with a collection that represents the lake's history.

Bled Jezero railway station (Slovene: Železniška postaja Bled Jezero) is the principal railway station in Bled, Slovenia. The station is located above the west coast of Lake Bled. It is connected to the lake and the settlement Zaka by a footpath. It is located on the Jesenice - Sežana railway and train services from Jesenice to Nova Gorica call here approximately once every two hours in each direction, however the timetable is irregular. Some of the services are extended from/to Ljubljana and Sežana.

IEDC-Bled School of Management, located in Bled, Slovenia, is a business school. It was founded in 1986 upon an initiative of Slovenian business community as the International Executive Development Center. IEDC is dedicated to executive education only, operates independently from any university, and is run by a group of faculty under the President and Dean Professor Danica Purg, who has served as the dean since the inception. The core intention of IEDC-Bled School of Management is to be an agent of change in the region, so courses, professors, and activities are selected to continuously challenge countries with transitional economies to increase business quality and results. It was greatly reduced in size with the establishment of the Municipality of Gorje in June 2006, because it has retained only 38% of its previous territory.
