White Birch Cemetery is a cemetery in Gresham, Oregon, established in 1889.

Gresham Pioneer Cemetery, founded in 1859, lies on the east side of Southwest Walters Road in Gresham, Oregon, United States. The cemetery is bordered by the Springwater Corridor Trail and Johnson Creek on the south and by Escobar Cemetery, adjacent on the west and not clearly separated from Gresham Pioneer Cemetery. White Birch Cemetery, founded in 1888, lies on the west side of Southwest Walters Road across from the other two cemeteries. All are one block west of Gresham's Main City Park and about a half-block south of Southeast Powell Boulevard.The Gresham Pioneer Cemetery is owned and maintained by Metro, the regional government for the Oregon part of the Portland metropolitan area. Miyo Iwakoshi, thought to be the first Japanese person to live in Oregon, is buried here. Metro provides a downloadable map of the cemetery, although names are not listed.The three cemeteries are among the 14 pioneer cemeteries in Multnomah County, Oregon, that are managed by Metro. The others are Brainard Cemetery, Columbia Pioneer Cemetery, Douglass Cemetery, Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Jones Cemetery, Lone Fir Cemetery, Mountain View Corbett Cemetery, Mountain View Stark Cemetery, Multnomah Park Cemetery, Pleasant Home Cemetery, and Powell Grove Cemetery.

Escobar Cemetery is a cemetery in Gresham, Oregon, established in 1914.According to Metro, the cemetery is named after Frank Escobar and was acquired by Multnomah County in 1957.As of 2014, the cemetery continues to be operated by Metro.

Bethel Baptist Church, also known as First Baptist Church, Gresham Pioneer Church and Old First Baptist Church, was a church building located in Gresham, Oregon listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by Peter Engles in 1886, the church displayed Gothic Revival architecture and was constructed of brick and weatherboard.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The church burned on May 22, 2004 and was subsequently delisted from the National Register of Historic Places on April 18, 2006.

A bronze sculpture of Todd Kirnan by Heather Soderberg was installed in Gresham, Oregon, in September 2018. The life-size statue at Northeast Third and Main Street honors Kirnan, an autistic delivery man nicknamed "Mister Gresham". It depicts Kirnan wearing a Portland Trail Blazers jersey with the number 22 for Clyde Drexler. The artwork cost approximately $54,000 and was funded by private donations from community members. The statue's dedicated was accompanied with a parade attended by hundreds.

Gresham ( GRESH-əm) is a city located in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States, immediately east of Portland. It is considered a suburb within the Greater Portland Metropolitan area. Though it began as a settlement in the mid-1800s, it was not officially incorporated as a city until 1905; it was named after Walter Quintin Gresham, the American Civil War general and United States Secretary of State. The city's early economy was sustained largely by farming, and by the mid-20th century the city experienced a population boom, growing from 4,000 residents to over 10,000 between 1960 and 1970. The Gresham Carnegie Library, is a historic building in Gresham, Oregon. The Tudor style building designed by Folger Johnson was built in 1913 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in January 2000. It served as a public library in the Multnomah County Library system from 1913 until December 1989 when the Gresham Library opened.At that time the Gresham Historical Society purchased the building and opened the Gresham History Museum. The building underwent six-months of renovations in 2012.

The East Buttes are made up of several extinct volcanoes in and around Gresham, Oregon, United States, which are part of the Boring Lava Field. The Boring Lava Field became active at least 2.7 million years ago, and has been extinct for about 300,000 years.The buttes stretch from southeast Portland into Damascus. Included are Gresham Butte (also known as Walter's Hill), Gabbert Hill, and Towle Butte. The Gresham Butte Saddle Trail runs through open space owned by Metro and the City of Gresham. The trail was previously a logging road and is bordered on the north by Gresham Butte and on the south by Towle Butte and Gabbert Hill. Several tributaries of Johnson Creek are located in this open space. The land in this area is dominated by black cottonwood, red alder, and Douglas-fir. There are also many non-native species present, such as Himalayan blackberry and European holly, a large stand of which is found around the middle of Saddle Trail. Somewhere in the forest is an old bus used to move water pipes for the planned Mount Hood Freeway. The project and the bus were abandoned in the 1970s after a mass public outcry against the proposed freeway.Much of the land on Gabbert Hill was previously designated for a subdivision called Darby Ridge, but was acquired by Metro and the City of Gresham in 2007.

Klein, dba Sweet Cakes by Melissa, v. Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries was a legal case against a cake shop in Gresham, Oregon, in the United States. The cake shop gained widespread press attention in January 2013 when it turned away customers who wanted cakes for a same-sex wedding, who then made a complaint to the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, claiming their civil rights under the Oregon Equality Act had been infringed.
