Gresham ( GRESH-əm) is a city located in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States, immediately east of Portland. It is considered a suburb within the Greater Portland Metropolitan area. Though it began as a settlement in the mid-1800s, it was not officially incorporated as a city until 1905; it was named after Walter Quintin Gresham, the American Civil War general and United States Secretary of State. The city's early economy was sustained largely by farming, and by the mid-20th century the city experienced a population boom, growing from 4,000 residents to over 10,000 between 1960 and 1970. The population was 114,247 at the 2020 census, making Gresham the 4th most populous city in Oregon.

The Charles and Fae Olson House is a historic house in Gresham, Oregon, United States. Designed and hand-built by the novice owner-occupant as his version of the "dream house" that sustained many men and women overseas during World War II, its modern styling embodies the breaks with tradition embraced by the generation returning from the war. The main outlines of the plan were developed during mail correspondence between Charles Olson and his wife Fae while he was serving in the Pacific, and many features are patterned on the books and magazines available to him. The Olsons' willingness to devote their own labor to its construction allowed them to avoid the constraints of commercial and government financing, which favored standardized suburban tract construction during the immediate postwar period, and to flexibly adapt to the material shortages of the time.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Gresham Pioneer Cemetery, founded in 1859, lies on the east side of Southwest Walters Road in Gresham, Oregon, United States. The cemetery is bordered by the Springwater Corridor Trail and Johnson Creek on the south and by Escobar Cemetery, adjacent on the west and not clearly separated from Gresham Pioneer Cemetery. White Birch Cemetery, founded in 1888, lies on the west side of Southwest Walters Road across from the other two cemeteries. All are one block west of Gresham's Main City Park and about a half-block south of Southeast Powell Boulevard.The Gresham Pioneer Cemetery is owned and maintained by Metro, the regional government for the Oregon part of the Portland metropolitan area. Miyo Iwakoshi, thought to be the first Japanese person to live in Oregon, is buried here. Metro provides a downloadable map of the cemetery, although names are not listed.The three cemeteries are among the 14 pioneer cemeteries in Multnomah County, Oregon, that are managed by Metro. Escobar Cemetery is a cemetery in Gresham, Oregon, established in 1914.According to Metro, the cemetery is named after Frank Escobar and was acquired by Multnomah County in 1957.As of 2014, the cemetery continues to be operated by Metro.

Bethel Baptist Church, also known as First Baptist Church, Gresham Pioneer Church and Old First Baptist Church, was a church building located in Gresham, Oregon listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by Peter Engles in 1886, the church displayed Gothic Revival architecture and was constructed of brick and weatherboard.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The church burned on May 22, 2004 and was subsequently delisted from the National Register of Historic Places on April 18, 2006.

A bronze sculpture of Todd Kirnan by Heather Soderberg was installed in Gresham, Oregon, in September 2018. The life-size statue at Northeast Third and Main Street honors Kirnan, an autistic delivery man nicknamed "Mister Gresham". It depicts Kirnan wearing a Portland Trail Blazers jersey with the number 22 for Clyde Drexler. The artwork cost approximately $54,000 and was funded by private donations from community members. The statue's dedicated was accompanied with a parade attended by hundreds.

The Roy E. and Hildur L. Amundsen House is a historic house in Gresham, Oregon, United States. Built in 1961 in a mid-century neighborhood, it is a highly intact example of a home designed in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. An almost complete expression of Wright's principles for Usonian homes, it was designed by Harold Amundsen, the son of the original owners, while he was an architecture student at the University of Oregon, and hand-built by him and his grandfather Hans B. Grevstad. Consulting architects included Barney E. Grevstad, Harold's uncle who was a successful Seattle architect with numerous works in the Modern style, and Burton J. Goodrich, one of Wright's former Taliesin apprentices.The house was entered on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Gresham Carnegie Library, is a historic building in Gresham, Oregon. The Tudor style building designed by Folger Johnson was built in 1913 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in January 2000. It served as a public library in the Multnomah County Library system from 1913 until December 1989 when the Gresham Library opened.At that time the Gresham Historical Society purchased the building and opened the Gresham History Museum. The building underwent six-months of renovations in 2012.
