The Parc de Bourran is a French urban park in the commune of Mérignac, in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It was designed by landscape architect Le Breton, in 1870. The park and its château were registered as French national heritage sites on January 9, 1992.

Saint-Augustin tram stop is located on line A of the Tramway de Bordeaux, and served as terminus of that line between 26 September 2005, when the line was extended from Mériadeck, until 21 June 2007, when the line was extended to Mérignac Centre. The stop is located in the commune of Bordeaux and is operated by the TBC.For most of the day on Mondays to Fridays, trams run at least every five minutes in both directions through the stop. Services run less frequently in the early morning, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

It consisted of three UFRs of medicine, one UFR of pharmacy, one of odontology, one of human and social sciences (psychology, sociology, ethnology, educational sciences, cognitive sciences), one of mathematics applied to human and life sciences, one of life sciences (human biology, biology of extreme environments, neurosciences), one of oenology, one of sports sciences, a higher school of biotechnology (ESTBB) and three institutes, one of public health (ISPED), one for hydrotherapy (in Dax), and one for cognitics (cognitive engineering - IdC, now ENSC) Bordeaux Segalen contained the UFR d'Oenologie, a reputed oenological institute founded in 1880 by Ulysse Gayon, the same year of foundation as the similar faculty of University of California at Davis.Since 2003, a team led by Dominique Martin of the Bordeaux University Hospital, has been rehearsing for the first human operation in zero gravity, using Zero-G aircraft. The operation is part of a project to develop surgical robots in space that are guided via satellite by Earth-based doctors. The project is developed with backing from the European Space Agency (ESA).

Château la Mission Haut-Brion is a Bordeaux wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, classed among the Crus Classés in the Graves classification of 1953. The winery, located in close vicinity of the city of Bordeaux, belongs to the wine region Graves, in the commune of Talence with additional property in Pessac. The château also produces a second wine from younger vines, La Chapelle de la Mission, since the 1991 vintage, and the dry white wine Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc since the 2010 merger of Château Laville Haut-Brion.

Château Laville Haut-Brion was a Bordeaux dry white wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, which was ranked among the Crus Classés in the Classification of Graves wine of 1953. The estate is located in close vicinity of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Talence. Since 2009, the fruit from Laville Haut-Brion has been used in the production of Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc.

Pessac (French pronunciation: [pɛsak] (listen); Occitan: Peçac) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It is a member of the metropolis of Bordeaux, being the second-largest suburb of Bordeaux and located just southwest of it. Pessac is also home to Bordeaux Montaigne University and the Institut d'études politiques de Bordeaux.

Les Afriques dans le monde (LAM) is a French academic research institute in Pessac, France focusing on Africa and its diaspora. It is a collaboration of the national reseach organisation CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) and three local universities: the Political science institute of the University of Bordeaux, the Bordeaux Montaigne University) and the University of Pau and the Adour Region. LAM was founded in 2011 by merging the Centre d’étude d’Afrique noire (CEAN, University of Bordeaux) and the Centre d’étude et de recherche sur les pays de l’Afrique orientale (CREPAO, University of Pau and the Adour Region) with other researchers joining. The research field of LAM is the "Africas": Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and by extension the African diaspora in the Middle East and transatlantic regions, mainly the Caribbean. In 2022 LAM had 26 researchers, fifty-odd PhD students and some 100 associated researchers. Since 2021 it is headed by David Ambrosetti.

Mérignac (French pronunciation: ​[meʁiɲak]) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. The 20th-century historian Robert Étienne (1921–2009) was born in Mérignac. It is the largest suburb of the city of Bordeaux and adjoins it to the west. It is a member of the Bordeaux Métropole. Mérignac is the site of Bordeaux International Airport.

Stade Chaban-Delmas is a sporting stadium located in the city of Bordeaux, France. It was the home ground of FC Girondins de Bordeaux. Since 2011, it has also hosted matches of Top 14 rugby team Union Bordeaux Bègles. Until 2001, the stadium's name was the Stade du Parc Lescure, so called after the fallow lands on which it was built (Lescure is from earlier d'Escure, a transformation of "des Cures," part of the name of the chapelle Saint-Laurent-des-Cures-lès-Bourdeaus, formerly a prominent feature of the area). That year it was renamed after Resistance fighter and politician Jacques Chaban-Delmas, who was the mayor of Bordeaux from 1947 to 1995. First built in 1924 as a cycle-racing track, in 1935 it was reconfigured to accommodate the upcoming 1938 FIFA World Cup. Rebuilt by the architects Jacques d'Welles and Raoul Jourde in an Art déco style, it opened on 12 June 1938 and was the first stadium in the world to have stands entirely covered without any pillars obstructing visibility of the playing area. Classified as a historic building, its restoration has been difficult, as its roof does not cover seats built after 1984 on the old cycle track. The current seating capacity of the stadium is 34,462, following a series of expansions of the stands, in particular for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. A record 40,211 spectators were in attendance on 24 April 1985 to watch a match between Girondins de Bordeaux and Juventus. In preparation for several matches that were held here for the 2007 Rugby World Cup, two giant television screens measuring 37 m2 were installed. The tunnel connecting the locker rooms of the players to the ground is the longest in Europe (close to 120 meters). On 19 July 2011, FC Girondins de Bordeaux announced plans to construct a new stadium, located in Bordeaux-Lac, with seating capacity of 42,115 for sporting events. Construction of the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux began in 2013 and ended in April 2015.

Pessac is a railway station in Pessac, a western suburb of Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The station is located on the Bordeaux–Irun railway line. The station is served by TER (local) services operated by SNCF. The Pessac Centre tram stop of the Bordeaux tramway is adjacent to the railway station, with direct access between station and tram stop platforms.
