Château La Mission Haut-Brion

Château Laville Haut-Brion was a Bordeaux dry white wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, which was ranked among the Crus Classés in the Classification of Graves wine of 1953. The estate is located in close vicinity of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Talence. Since 2009, the fruit from Laville Haut-Brion has been used in the production of Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc.

Bordeaux Institute of Technology - ENSEIRB-MATMECA School of Engineering (in French: Bordeaux INP - ENSEIRB-MATMECA) is a French Engineering Grande École located in Bordeaux and specialized in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. The majority of the admitted students are selected among candidates from the French Preparatory Classes for Engineering Schools which is a 2 to 3-year undergraduate level program in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering Sciences. After admission, the standard curriculum is a 3-year program resulting in the French Diplôme d'Ingénieur, considered as a Master's degree of the European Higher Education Area.

The Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux (Bordeaux INP) (Institut polytechnique de Bordeaux, Groupe Bordeaux INP and before INPB) is a French technological university system consisting of six engineering schools. Bordeaux Segalen University (French: Université Bordeaux Segalen; originally called University of Victor Segalen Bordeaux II) was one of four universities in Bordeaux (together with Bordeaux 1, Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 and Montesquieu Bordeaux IV) and five in Aquitaine. In 2014, it merged with Bordeaux 1 and Bordeaux 4 to form University of Bordeaux.Bordeaux Segalen was specialized in Life and Health Sciences and Human and Social Sciences. It consisted of three UFRs of medicine, one UFR of pharmacy, one of odontology, one of human and social sciences (psychology, sociology, ethnology, educational sciences, cognitive sciences), one of mathematics applied to human and life sciences, one of life sciences (human biology, biology of extreme environments, neurosciences), one of oenology, one of sports sciences, a higher school of biotechnology (ESTBB) and three institutes, one of public health (ISPED), one for hydrotherapy (in Dax), and one for cognitics (cognitive engineering - IdC, now ENSC) Bordeaux Segalen contained the UFR d'Oenologie, a reputed oenological institute founded in 1880 by Ulysse Gayon, the same year of foundation as the similar faculty of University of California at Davis.Since 2003, a team led by Dominique Martin of the Bordeaux University Hospital, has been rehearsing for the first human operation in zero gravity, using Zero-G aircraft. The operation is part of a project to develop surgical robots in space that are guided via satellite by Earth-based doctors. The project is developed with backing from the European Space Agency (ESA).

In Bordeaux, the Cognitique Institute (IdC) was a public education institution, founded in 2003 by the Bordeaux Segalen University, that includes a cognitive engineering training program (master in engineering), two Masters programs and a PhD program in applied cognitive science. Since 2009, IdC joined the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux (IPB) and its name change to become : Ecole Nationale Superieure de Cognitique (ENSC). Pr. Bernard Claverie was Founder and Director of the Bordeaux Cognitique Institute (2003-2009) and of the ENSC (2009-2019).

The Institute of mechanics and engineering (in French : Institut de mécanique et d'ingénierie), also known as the I2M, is a French institute of research located in Bordeaux, more precisely in the science Campus of Talence, Pessac and Gradignan. It is under the authority of University of Bordeaux, CNRS / INSIS, Arts et Métiers ParisTech, Bordeaux INP and INRA. It is in addition part of the Carnot Institute ARTS and currently employs more than 300 persons. It was created in 2011 from the merge of 3 "Unités Mixtes de Recherche" CNRS/University laboratories: LMP, TREFLE, US2B and 3 "Equipes d'Accueil" of Research Ministry: LAMEFIP, LGM2B, GHYMAC. The I2M is also part of the IdEX Bordeaux (LabEX AMADEUS, CPU, EquipEx XYLOFOREST) and of the interregional cluster AEROSPACE VALLEY Aerospace Valley.

Saint-Augustin tram stop is located on line A of the Tramway de Bordeaux, and served as terminus of that line between 26 September 2005, when the line was extended from Mériadeck, until 21 June 2007, when the line was extended to Mérignac Centre. The stop is located in the commune of Bordeaux and is operated by the TBC.For most of the day on Mondays to Fridays, trams run at least every five minutes in both directions through the stop. Services run less frequently in the early morning, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The École nationale supérieure de chimie, de biologie et de physique or ENSCPB (or "CPB" in common parlance) - which can be translated as Graduate School of Chemistry, Biology and Physics - is one of the French grandes écoles, whose main purpose is to form chemical and physical engineers (with a level "bac+5"). It is located on the campus of the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux, in the town of Pessac, close to the famous city of Bordeaux.In 2009, the school merged with the Institut des sciences et techniques des aliments de Bordeaux (or "ISTAB"). This is when the school changed its name to the current one: École nationale supérieure de chimie, de biologie et de physique (or ENSCBP). Different schooling are proposed in the school, the two biggest being the engineering programs in Chemistry and Physics (or "Formation CP") and in Food Science (or "Formation BA"). The students mostly go abroad for at least 5 months during their 3-year study program, and obtain an Engineering School Diploma, equivalent of a master's degree in Engineering.
