Billinge Green Halt railway station was located in Davenham, Cheshire, England. The station was opened by the London and North Western Railway on 1 October 1914, the station closed on 2 March 1942.

Bostock is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 229, reducing slightly to 225 at the 2011 Census. The village is between the towns of Winsford and Northwich.

Bostock Hall is a country house to the northeast of Winsford, Cheshire, England. A former Georgian house, it was rebuilt in 1775 for Edward Tomkinson. It is thought that the architect was Samuel Wyatt. Alterations and additions were made to it in the middle of the 19th century and in 1875. The house is constructed in brick with ashlar dressings; it has a slate roof. It is in three storeys plus a basement. Its plan is L-shaped. The entrance front has a central bow window rising through all floors, and a single-storey porch with a balustraded parapet. The garden front has two bows, between which are a Venetian window with a Diocletian window above. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Northwich Rural District was a rural district surrounding, but not including the towns of Northwich and Winsford in Cheshire, which were separate urban districts. It was created in 1894 from the Northwich Rural Sanitary District. In 1936, several changes were made to the boundaries of the rural district; the most significant was enlargement due to the abolition of Tarporley Urban District. Before the 1936 changes, the district also surrounded the town of Middlewich. In 1974, the district was abolished and the area along with Northwich Urban District, Winsford Urban District and parts of Runcorn Rural District became the district (later Borough) of Vale Royal. The council was based in Hartford (west of Northwich) which became the headquarters of Vale Royal District Council. The former headquarters site has now been sold and a housing estate built in the grounds.

Rudheath is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, in the north west of England, approximately 2 miles east of Northwich. The population of the civil parish as taken at the 2011 census was 3,807.Rudheath is the location of Rudheath Primary Academy, and the Rudheath Senior Academy. Both schools provide education to school-age children from the village and the surrounding area. Contemporary major local employers include Frank Roberts & Sons, a bakery that has been associated with the area since 1887. Two of Frank Roberts & Sons's three main business divisions, Roberts Bakery and The Little Treats Co, are based on the A556 in Rudheath and Aldred's The Bakers, is located in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Morrisons supermarket has a large distribution centre on the A530, while Orange, Barclays Bank and The Hut Group all have business centres at Gadbrook Park, off the A556.

Davenham Hall is a former country house to the southeast of the village of Davenham, Cheshire, England. It was built for Thomas Ravenscroft to replace a timber-framed house called Davenham Lodge. It dates from the middle or the later part of the 18th century, possibly from shortly before 1795, when Ravenscroft died. Substantial additions were made in the early 19th century. It is constructed in stuccoed brick, and has a slate roof. The house is in two storeys with a symmetrical entrance front of six bays. Occupying the middle two bays is a porch with four Tuscan columns and an entablature containing a triglyph. Above this, the central bays protrude slightly forwards and contain two windows, with a pediment above them and a parapet on each side. Figueirdo and Treuherz describe the interior as being "especially fine". The entrance hall contains Grecian plasterwork and a black marble chimneypiece. The drawing room has more delicate plasterwork, and a marble chimneypiece decorated with dancing figures. The central staircase hall is lit by a central dome, and has fan-shaped plasterwork. The staircase has a wrought iron baluster, and the first floor landing has a screen of four Doric columns. The house was converted into a nursing home in 1980. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Middlewich.

The Cheshire Plain is a relatively flat expanse of lowland within the county of Cheshire in North West England but extending south into Shropshire. It extends from the Mersey Valley in the north to the Shropshire Hills in the south, bounded by the hills of North Wales to the west and the foothills of the Pennines to the north-east. The Wirral Peninsula lies to the north-west whilst the plain merges with the South Lancashire Plain in the embayment occupied by Manchester to the north. In detail, the plain comprises two areas with distinct characters, the one to the west of the Mid Cheshire Ridge and the other, larger part, to its east. The plain is the surface expression of the Cheshire Basin, a deep sedimentary basin that extends north into Lancashire and south into Shropshire. It assumed its current form as the ice-sheets of the last glacial period melted away between 20,000 and 15,000 years ago leaving behind a thick cover of glacial till and extensive tracts of glacio-fluvial sand and gravel. The primary agricultural use of the Cheshire Plain is dairy farming, creating the general appearance of enclosed hedgerow fields. Meteorologists use the term Cheshire Gap when referring to the lowlands of the Cheshire Plain, providing as they do a passage between the Clwydian Hills, in Wales on the one hand and the Peak District and South Pennines on the other. Weather systems are often guided down this "gap", penetrating much further inland than elsewhere along the coast of the Irish Sea.

Stanthorne Hall is a country house standing to the west of the village of Stanthorne, Cheshire, England. It was built between 1804 and 1807 for Richard Dutton, who had purchased the estate from the Leicesters of Tabley. The house is constructed in brick with painted stone dressings and a slate roof. It is in three storeys with a symmetrical entrance front of three bays. The doorway is surrounded by Tuscan columns and an open pediment with a fanlight. The windows are sash windows. To the rear is a long wing. Inside the house, the entrance hall contains an open well staircase of three flights, and has a cornice with a frieze containing triglyphs. Two of the ground floor rooms have black marble fireplaces. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
