WJZF-LP (97.1 FM) was a radio station licensed to Standish, Maine, United States. The station was owned by Standish Citizens Educational Organization. The station was heard on public-access television cable TV channels in Gorham and Saco.

The Standish Corner Historic District encompasses a collection of five early farmhouses in the village of Standish Corner in southeastern Standish, Maine. All five houses were built in the late 18th or early 19th century, and the assemblage are all that survive of the town's original early center. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Daniel Marrett House is a historic house museum at 40 East Ossipee Trail (Maine State Route 25) in Standish, Maine. Built in 1789, it is a prominent local example of Greek Revival architecture, and was for many years owned by members of the Marrett family. In 1944 it was given to the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (now Historic New England), which operates it as a museum today. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Sebago to the Sea Trail is a trail that goes from Sebago Lake to the Gulf of Maine. Work on the trail begin in 2007, with a goal of creating an eventual 28 mile trail to the sea. A significant portion is made of the former Maine Central Railroad Mountain Division. The trail begins at Sebago Lake in the town of Standish, and runs through Gorham, Windham, Westbrook, and Falmouth, reaching the sea in Portland.

The Paine Neighborhood Historic District of Standish, Maine encompasses a small collection of rural properties that were all developed within a short period of time by members of the Paine family. Included are three late 18th-century houses and the family cemetery. The area provides a view of early settlement patterns in Maine's interior. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Frye Island is an island town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. Located in Sebago Lake, the island is accessed via a public car ferry from Raymond Neck, or by private boat. All residents of the resort town are seasonal. The majority of property owners hail from New England area states (Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire) however there are many other states also represented on the island. Frye Island is vacant from November through April, and the ferry does not operate during that time due to thick ice blocking its route during the winter. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town had a population of 32 at the 2020 census.

White Rock is an unincorporated community in the town of Gorham, in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. It formerly had a school, called White Rock Elementary, until it closed in 2011 with the coming of Great Falls Elementary on Route 237. White Rock was named for a large white boulder that once stood in front of the current church. White Rock is home to part of the Mountain Division Trail, a partially completed rail trail with segments that follow the former Mountain Division line between Fryeburg and Portland.

Bonny Eagle High School is a public high school located in Standish, Maine, United States. The school is a part of Maine School Administrative District 6, which serves the towns of Buxton (including Bar Mills), Hollis, Limington, Frye Island, and Standish (including Steep Falls).
