Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is a 216-bed hospital located in Brockton, Massachusetts.Brockton Hospital is equipped with the Helen Greene Cardiac Catheterization Suite. The cardiac suite is equipped to perform Intravascular Ultrasounds, AngioJets, Radial Stenting, Advanced X-Rays, and more. It was donated in 2007 by the W.B. Mason Company. The hospital is affiliated with the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. The hospital has been closed since early March 2023 due to a fire.

Brockton station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Brockton, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA Middleborough/Lakeville Line and is a stop on the seasonal CapeFLYER service. The station has a single accessible full-length high-level platform that serves the line's two tracks. It is located adjacent to the BAT Centre, the primary hub for Brockton Area Transit Authority local bus service. The first station in the town (then called North Bridgewater) opened in 1846 on the Fall River Railroad. It was rebuilt in 1873–74 and renamed Brockton in 1874. The railroad helped Brockton grow into a major manufacturing center. In the 1890s, Brockton was the site of the state's first major grade crossing elimination program, which included the construction of a massive stone viaduct and a pair of station buildings designed by Bradford Gilbert. Passenger service ended in 1959, and the station was demolished during an urban renewal program in the 1960s. After two decades of planning, the modern station was opened for commuter rail service by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in 1997. The BAT Centre was opened in 1999.

Ames Nowell State Park is a 700-acre (280 ha) Massachusetts state park located in the town of Abington. It was one of the earliest power plants built by Thomas Edison. The plant opened on October 1, 1883. It contained three "H" dynamos capable of powering about 1600 lamps.The Brockton plant was soon followed by others in Lawrence and Fall River, Massachusetts, and Newburgh, New York. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The company was founded in 1897 and started out selling rubber stamps and stencils for the Brockton shoe industry; it has since expanded into office supplies, janitorial and sanitation products, shipping and packaging materials, break room and coffee supplies, foodservice products, custom printing, and other business supplies. W.B. Mason has over 60 distribution centers and leases over 1,000 delivery trucks from Ryder servicing more than 300,000 businesses across the United States.

The Snow Fountain and Clock is a historic public monument at the southern junction of North Main and East Main Streets in Brockton, Massachusetts, USA. The monument was given to the city in 1902 by George G. Snow, who lived in a large house near the site. The monument has three major components: a water fountain, a horse trough, and a four-faced clock mounted on a 15-foot (4.6 m) column in the center of the water fountain. The trough and fountain are constructed of Quincy granite. The clock mechanism was constructed by E. Howard & Co. The horse trough is now used as a planter.The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Brockton Brightfield in Brockton, Massachusetts is a solar power plant in New England. Consisting of 1,395 photovoltaic panels on a 3.7-acre (1.5 ha) site, it has a maximum output of 425 kilowatts. It was officially opened on October 26, 2006, on the site of the former Brockton Gas Works.When built, the site was said to be the largest "brightfield" in the U.S., although other developments since then are larger. "Brightfield" is a term for an abandoned industrial site that has been turned into a solar-power facility. It is a blend of the words "bright" and "brownfield", the latter referring to abandoned, often polluted, industrial sites that have been redeveloped. It was the largest photovoltaic site in New England for several years, but was surpassed by several utility-owned sites in 2010.

Brockton is a city in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States; the population was 105,643 at the 2020 United States census. Along with Plymouth, it is one of the two county seats of Plymouth County. The city hall of Brockton, Massachusetts is located at 45 School Street. It is a predominantly brick 2+1⁄2-story building sited on an entire city block bounded by School Street, East Elm Street, and City Hall Square. The Romanesque Revival structure was designed by local architect Wesley Lyng Minor, and built in 1892–94. It has entrances on three sides, each under a round Richardsonian arch with carved voussoirs. Its most prominent feature is a five-story tower, decorated with terra cotta panels and topped by a steeply-pitched Gothic style hip roof. The east elevation also has a three-story circular tower topped by a battlement. It was the first purpose-built building for housing the city's offices. The grand hall of the interior features murals depicting scenes of the American Civil War, painted by Richard Holland and Mortimer Lamb in 1893.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Strand Theatre fire occurred in Brockton, Massachusetts on March 10, 1941. Thirteen firefighters were killed when the roof collapsed, making it the deadliest firefighter disaster in Massachusetts.
