Burgois is a hamlet in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom situated approximately one mile south of Padstow. It is 5 miles west of the town of Wadebridge. The hamlet has a pub, the Pickwick Inn, but no other community facilities. It is within the Church of England parish of St Issey and the St Issey and St Tudy division of Cornwall Council.

Little Petherick (Cornish: Nansfenten) is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of St Issey, in the Cornwall district, in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated two miles (3.2 kilometres) south of Padstow and 6 miles (9.7 kilometres) west of Wadebridge. Little Petherick lies in the valley of Little Petherick Creek, a tidal tributary of the River Camel: however, upstream of Little Petherick the creek ceases to be tidal. The village straddles the A389 Wadebridge-Padstow road which crosses the creek at the east end of the village on a Grade II listed 19th century bridge. In 1931 the parish had a population of 178. On 1 April 1934 the parish was abolished and merged with St Issey.

Trevorrick is a hamlet near St Issey in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is located about two miles south of Padstow just to the east of Little Petherick Creek. Half a km north is Sea Mills, a house on the banks of the creek. Sea Mills was a grist mill in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It was powered by flood tidal water which then drove a water wheel when the tide was on the ebb. The sea walls can still be seen including the sluice gate but the wheel is long gone.

The rural district was created in 1968 through the abolition of Padstow Urban District and Wadebridge Rural District.In 1974 the district was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, forming part of the new North Cornwall district.

The National Lobster Hatchery is a charitable organization located in Padstow, England. The hatchery was opened in August 2000 and is situated on South Quay in Padstow, Cornwall. The organisation is a marine Conservation, research and education charity that focuses its efforts on the European lobster. It exists to serve the coastal fishing communities of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The hatchery consists of a visitor centre, shop and conference facility, as well as various culture spaces, laboratories and technical facilities.

The town is situated on the west bank of the River Camel estuary, approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) northwest of Wadebridge, 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Bodmin and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Newquay. The population of Padstow civil parish was 3,162 in the 2001 census, reducing to 2,993 at the 2011 census. In addition an electoral ward with the same name exists but extends as far as Trevose Head. The population for this ward is 4,434.The geology of the low plateau west of Padstow has resulted in such features as Tregudda Gorge where erosion along the faultline has caused sheer cliffs to form; and Marble Cliffs which has alternating dark grey and light grey strata. The Round Hole is a collapsed sea cave.

It is situated immediately south of the larger village of Rock approximately four miles (6.5 km) northwest of Wadebridge.The settlement is in the civil parish of St Minver Lowlands. It is on the south side of Porthilly Cove, an estuarine bay with a level intertidal beach.St Michael's church, an ancient chapelry of St Minver parish, stands on the seawall above the cove. First mentioned in a deed dated 1299, the building has Norman features and was substantially restored in 1867. It has a chancel and nave, a south transept and a bell turret containing one bell.In the churchyard to the south of the church is a medieval four holed cross. It is listed Grade II.
