Circle Oaks is an unincorporated community in the hills to the northeast of the Napa Valley. Created in 1964, this wildland interface has thrived since, growing into a small country community outside of a bustling valley. Lots in the community are circular, with the areas between the circles ("triangles") considered to be non-developable "greenbelt", an idea supposedly envisioned by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The community was initially planned to have an airstrip and golf course, but these never materialized.Circle Oaks was threatened, but not significantly damaged, by the 2017 Atlas Fire and the 2020 Hennessey Fire.

Berryessa Highlands is an unincorporated community in Napa County, California. It lies on the southeastern shore of Lake Berryessa. The Berryessa Highlands Development Company developed much of the community, and in 1981 still owned approximately 125 lots in the subdivision. It is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Berryessa Natural Area and Putah Creek State Wildlife Area is to the east.In August 2020, the community was evacuated due to the Hennessey Fire. The fire resulted in the destruction and damage of many homes in Berryessa Highlands.

Rancho Chimiles was a 17,762-acre (71.88 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Napa County, California given in 1846 by Governor Pio Pico to José Ygnacio Berreyesa.

The Atlas Fire was a 2017 wildfire burning in Napa County, California north of the city of Napa, near Napa Soda Springs. It was one of fourteen large fires simultaneously burning in eight Northern California counties, in what was called the "Northern California firestorm". Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency. The fire, which started on October 8, had by October 12 burned 51,057 acres (207 km2) of land, and was 77% contained. By October 12, the fire stretched from Lake Berryessa south to Napa, but a firebreak was established across Atlas Peak Road. It was contained on October 28, 2017. At that point in state history, the fire was the 14th most destructive and 15th deadliest. It burned a total of 51,624 acres, destroyed 783 structures, and resulted in 6 deaths.

The Atlas Peak AVA is an American Viticultural Area located within Napa Valley AVA just northeast of the city of Napa. The appellation sits on a higher elevation than most of Napa's wine region which limits the effects of the cool fog coming in from Pacific Ocean. The westward orientation of most vineyards on the Vaca Mountains also extends the amount of direct sunlight on the grapes. The soil of this AVA is volcanic and very porous which allows it to cool down quickly despite the increased sunlight. The area has a fairly significant diurnal temperature variation upwards of 30 °F (17 °C) between daytime and night. This contributes to the balance of acidity that grapes from Atlas Peak vineyards are known to have.In August 2020, Atlas Peak was evacuated due to the Hennessey Fire, which resulted in the burning of over 315,000 acres (127,476 ha) in five counties, including in north Atlas Peak.

The Wragg Fire was a wildland fire that started just off California State Route 128 near Lake Berryessa in Napa County, California in the United States. The fire started on July 22, 2015. The cause was an idling vehicle's car exhaust. The vehicle came into contact with dry grass and sparked the fire. Mandatory evacuations for 136 homes and 200 residents took place. Six roads were closed temporarily as a result.

Mount Vaca is a mountain in Napa and Solano counties of Northern California. It is both the highest point in the Vaca Mountains and in Solano County. It is also one of several peaks in the San Francisco Bay Area that receive winter snow.

Wild Horse Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) that straddles between Napa and Solano Counties, California and partly resides within the larger Napa Valley AVA. The wine appellation was established as the nation's 102nd, the state's 58th, and both counties' fifth AVA on November 30, 1988 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Treasury after reviewing the petition submitted by John Newmeyer of Napa and four other interested persons proposing the viticultural area named "Wild Horse Valley." The appellation encompasses a valley landform near the city of Napa that extends approximately five-and-a-third-mile (9 km) long and one-and-two-thirds-mile (3 km) across at its widest point. The petition states Wild Horse Valley's total acreage is 3,300 acres (5 sq mi) with 73 acres (30 ha) of cultivation in the viticultural area. Its southerly location results in more hours of sunshine than other locations in Napa Valley and the adjacent Solano County Green Valley. The proximity to San Pablo Bay results in a cooler climate, making Wild Horse Valley attractive for the cultivation of grapes like Pinot noir. The Wild Horse Valley viticultural area is within the North Coast viticultural area. Wild Horse Valley partially overlaps the Napa Valley and Solano County Green Valley viticultural areas. The Suisun Valley viticultural area is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) east of the Wild Horse Valley separated only by the Solano County Green Valley.

Napa Soda Springs (formerly Jacksons Napa Soda Springs) is a set of natural water springs that was the site of a resort in the 1880's in Napa County, California. It lies at an elevation of 705 feet (215 m). Napa Soda Springs is located 5 miles (8.0 km) east-southeast of Yountville.The Napa Soda Springs post office operated from 1882 to 1929.

KUIC (95.3 FM) is an adult contemporary radio station licensed to Vacaville, California and serves the Sacramento Valley. Their music format consists of music from the 1980s to today. The station is currently owned by Alpha Media, which also owns KKIQ 101.7 FM in Livermore and KKDV 92.1 FM in Walnut Creek. The three stations were sold in 2015 to Alpha Broadcasting. KUIC operates from its studios in Vacaville, and its transmitter is located west of Vacaville along the Solano-Napa county line. (Sister stations KKDV and KKIQ have studios in Pleasanton.) It also utilizes a translator booster in Vallejo.

Brown Estate Vineyards is a winery in Napa Valley, California, United States. It produces zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, and petite sirah varieties. Founded in 1995 by siblings Deneen, David and Coral Brown, Brown Estate produced its first Napa Valley zinfandel in 1996 after the family had been farming grapes and selling them to established winemakers. It is the first and only Black-owned estate in Napa Valley.
