Kingsway Park High School

Springhill High School was a co-educational secondary school on Turf Hill Road in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England. The catchment area consists of the neighbouring areas: Newbold, Kirkholt, Deeplish, Turf Hill and Belfield. The school closed 31 August 2010 as a result of the Building Schools for the Future program. The school merged with Balderstone Technology College and formed a new school called Kingsway Park High School. The new school is based on the old Spring Hill High School site.

Balderstone is a district and an electoral ward of the wider Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale in the county of Greater Manchester, England. According to the 2001 census the ward had a population of 9,699. As at the 2011 census the ward was called Balderstone and Kirkholt with a population of 10,422.

The Athletic Grounds was a stadium in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England. It was the home of Rochdale Hornets Rugby League Football Club for over 90 years until 1988. It has also been used for speedway, BriSCA F1 Stock Cars and greyhound racing.

Milnrow Road was a cricket ground in Rochdale, Lancashire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1868, when the Gentlemen of Rochdale played Australian Aboriginals during their tour of England.In 1876, the ground held its only first-class match when the North played the South.The final recorded match on the ground came in 1877 when Rochdale played Burnley. The ground was later required for building and built over. The exact location of the ground is unknown, only that it was situated along Milnrow Road, which is still in existence to this day. A likely candidate for its location is an area of land halfway along the road which was called Park Fields.

Newbold is a tram stop on the Oldham and Rochdale Line (ORL) of Greater Manchester's Metrolink network. It is located in the Newbold area of Rochdale, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, between Kingsway Business Park and Rochdale Railway Station stations. It opened as part of Phase 3a of the system's expansion, on 28 February 2013.

The Rochdale Branch Canal was a branch of the Rochdale Canal in north-west England which led close to Rochdale Town Centre. It was in use from 1794, and was bordered by the landscaped gardens of Lark Mill House on the western bank until the 1850s. A number of industries grew up around the branch, ranging from cotton mills and an iron and brass foundry in the early years, to a bakery and jam manufactory, woollen mills and sawmills later on. The branch declined with the main canal, and was little used after the 1920s, although not officially abandoned until 1952. It was filled in during the 1960s, and the site of the main basins now lies beneath the car park of a retail shopping centre.

Kingsway Business Park is a 0.66-square-mile (1.7 km2) business park in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester, England.JD Sports and Wincanton for ASDA have warehouses on the site. Kingsway Village, a part of the business park, is a planned housing estate between a nature reserve and range of office buildings and commercial premises.Kingsway Business Park Metrolink station is a light rail stop on the northeastern side of the site.

Balderstone Technology College was a school in the Balderstone district of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England.

Moss Brook is a watercourse in Rochdale, Greater Manchester and a tributary of the River Roch. It originates in Newbold, and flows Northwards to join the River Roch. The majority of the brook is now culverted.

St Cuthbert's Roman Catholic High School is a coeducational secondary school located in the Thornham area of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England.

Roch Valley Viaduct was a viaduct built in the 1860s in Rochdale, historically in Lancashire, now within Greater Manchester, that carried the Rochdale to Bacup railway line between Rochdale and Wardleworth stations. It was demolished in 1972. A trial explosion was carried out at one arch at the section over the River Roch, and inadvertently, the rest of the viaduct came down as well. Nobody was hurt, but gas and water mains were disrupted and a road was blocked.

Hey Brook is a watercourse in Rochdale, Greater Manchester and a tributary of the River Roch. It originates at the confluence of Buckley Brook and Syke Brook, and flows through Wardleworth to the River Roch.
