Aspley Heath

Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands Golf Club is a golf club in Bedfordshire, England, situated between the village of Aspley Guise and the town of Woburn Sands (Buckinghamshire). It was originally established in 1914 as a 9-hole golf course, with a further 9 holes opened in 1974. The course is ranked as the fifth best golf course in the county by the website Top 100 Golf Courses.The course is based upon designs by Sandy Heard and is a mixture of mature parkland and heath.

Wavendon Heath Ponds is a 4.7-hectare (12-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Aspley Heath in Bedfordshire. It was notified in 1986 under Section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, and the local planning authority is Central Bedfordshire Council.The site is acidic mire. It has three ponds which have unusual plant communities, two unimproved meadows, some damp birch woodland and a small stream.The site is at the southern end of Aspley Woods (also known as New Wavendon Heath), and there is access from Church Road and by footpaths through the woods from Aspley Heath.

Woburn Sands () is a town that straddles the border between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire in England, and also is part of the Milton Keynes urban area. The larger part of the town is in Woburn Sands civil parish, which is in the City of Milton Keynes, Smaller parts of the town are in the neighbouring parishes of Aspley Guise and Aspley Heath (in Central Bedfordshire). The meandering boundary between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire means the Lower and Middle Schools that serve all of the town are both in Aspley Guise CP. Bedfordshire Police and Thames Valley Police both deal with law enforcement issues in the town. At the 2011 Census, the population of the civil parish (only) was 2,916, that of the built-up area (including much of Aspley Guise) was 5,959. Woburn Sands, Aspley Guise and Aspley Heath each has its own centre but together the three settlements are a contiguous built-up area.

Aspley Guise is a village and civil parish in the west of Central Bedfordshire, England. In addition to the village of Aspley Guise itself, the civil parish also includes part of the town of Woburn Sands, the rest of which is in the City of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Together with Woburn Sands and Aspley Heath, it forms part of the Milton Keynes urban area. It is centred 6 miles (9.7 km) east southeast of Central Milton Keynes and 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the M1 junction 13. It has its own railway station on the Marston Vale Line, and an historic centre with 29 listed buildings.

Aspley Guise railway station serves the village of Aspley Guise in Bedfordshire, England. It is on the Bletchley – Bedford Marston Vale Line. The station is served by West Midlands Trains local services, operating under the London Northwestern Railway brand. The services operate using Class 230 diesel-electric multiple unit trains which are upcycled London Underground D78 Stock. It is one of the seven stations serving the Milton Keynes urban area, albeit the only one located outside the City of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire. In 2016/17, the station was the least used in Bedfordshire.

The A5130 was a minor A-class road in the United Kingdom, from (near) the M1 at Junction 14 to Woburn. Although the roadway still exists, it was declassified in 2017.It started on a roundabout with the A509 just west of Junction 14 of the M1 motorway and proceeded south round (what was then) the eastern edge of the original Milton Keynes designated area. After crossing the A421 the A5130 continued past the village of Wavendon. It then crossed the Bedford-Bletchley railway by means of a level crossing and passed through Woburn Sands. It terminated a short distance to the south upon meeting the A4012 just inside the village of Woburn.

The 2016 Ricoh Women's British Open was played 28–31 July in England at the Woburn Golf and Country Club near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, northwest of London. It was the 40th Women's British Open, and the 16th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. It was the tenth Women's British Open at Woburn; the most recent was in 1999, prior to it becoming a major on the LPGA Tour. For the first time, it was held on the Marquess' Course, which opened in 2000. Ariya Jutanugarn won her first major title, three strokes ahead of runners-up Mirim Lee and| Mo Martin, the 2014 champion.Golf Channel and NBC televised the event in the United States for the first time, while BBC Sport handled the coverage in the UK, for the last time.

Woburn Golf Club is a golf club in England located in Little Brickhill, near Milton Keynes within the county of Bedfordshire, about fifty miles (80 km) northwest of central London. There are three courses at the Woburn property: the "Duke's Course", which opened in 1976; the "Duchess Course", both designed by Charles Lawrie, which followed in 1978; and the "Marquess Course", designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, European Golf Design (Ross McMurray), and Alex Hay, which dates from 2000. The 2019 AIG Women's British Open was played from 1–4 August in England at Woburn Golf Club in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, fifty miles (80 km) northwest of London. It was the 43rd Women's British Open, the nineteenthth as a major championship on the LPGA Tour, and the eleventh at Woburn.Hinako Shibuno, playing for the first time outside of Japan and in her first major, won with 270 (−18), one stroke ahead of runner-up Lizette Salas of the United States. Shibuno, a twenty-year-old-rookie on the LPGA of Japan Tour, had already won twice on that tour in 2019, and added two more in the fall.
