Coronel Aparício Borges is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. The neighbourhood was named after colonel Aparício Borges, who died during the Constitutionalist Revolution in 1932. The Central Prison of Porto Alegre, considered one of the worst in the country, is located here.

Band RS is a Brazilian television station based in Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It operates on channel 10 (32 digital UHF) and is an owned-and-operated station of Band. Its studios are located at Tecnopuc, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, in the Partenon neighborhood, where the entire holding of Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação in Rio Grande do Sul is headquartered, and its transmitting antenna is in Morro da Polícia.

Record Brasília (channel 8) is a Brazilian television station based in Brasília, Federal District carrying Record for the Brazilian capital area and its surroundings. Owned-and-operated by Grupo Record, its studios are in the Record Building, located in the Southern Radio and Television Sector (SRTVS), in the South Wing of Plano Piloto, and its transmitters are in the Digital TV Tower of Brasília, in the administrative region of Lago Norte.

It is owned by Grupo Record, alongside Rádio Guaíba and the newspaper Correio do Povo with its studios being located in Santa Tereza, and its transmitter is at the top of Morro da Polícia.

TV Educativa (also known as TVE-RS) is a Brazilian television station based in Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It operates on channel 7 (UHF digital 30) and is affiliated to TV Brasil. The station, along with FM Cultura, is owned by the Radio Broadcasting and Audiovisual Directorate of the Secretariat of Communication and Digital Inclusion of the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Its studios are located in the neighborhood of Santa Tereza, in the former headquarters of TV Piratini, and its transmission antenna is at the top of Morro da Police.

MultiRS (channel 48) is a Brazilian university television station based in Canoas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which operates on virtual channel 48.1, granted to the capital Porto Alegre, relaying TV Cultura. Maintained by the Lutheran University of Brazil (Ulbra), it was opened in 2004 under the name Ulbra TV, broadcasting programming aimed at young audiences in partnership with STV, having quickly adopted a more generalist and educational schedule. Its studios are in the Ulbratech technology park building, on the university campus in Canoas, and its transmitting antenna is at the top of Morro da Police, in Porto Alegre.

The Museu de Ciências Naturais da Fundação Zoobotânica do Rio Grande do Sul ("Museum of Natural Sciences of the Rio Grande do Sul Zoobotanical Foundation"), is a Brazilian museum located inside the Porto Alegre Botanical Garden. Open from Monday to Sunday 9am to 12pm and from 13h30 to 17h. Emerged in 1954 from the breakup of a natural history collection of the Júlio de Castilhos Museum.The permanent exhibition features 49 windows, that approach the richness of species native to Rio Grande do Sul, both flora and fauna. The show is organized in an evolutionary sequence: plant today, groups of animals and paleontological showcases. In this way, show the characteristic fauna of various ecosystems of the state: swamp, field and forest.

Jardim do Salso (meaning Willow Garden in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 6594 from January 31, 1990. Basically Jardim do Salso is a residential neighbourhood.

Partenon (literally Parthenon in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. Partenon was named after the Parthenon Literary Society, officially founded in 1868 by a group of writers and intellectuals. In its area, there are two important places nowadays: the São Pedro Psychiatric Hospital, inaugurated in 1884, and the central campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, one of the best private universities in the country. It is considered a middle and lower class neighborhood in Porto Alegre, and little slums can be found here.
