The Fulton Ferry station was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. As the name implies, it was built to serve the Fulton Ferry between the two ferry slips in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Fulton Street Elevated was built by the Kings County Elevated Railway Company and this station started service on April 24, 1888. The station had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. This station was served by steam locomotives between 1888 and 1899. In 1898, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) absorbed the Kings County Elevated Railway, and it took over the Fulton Street El, and it was electrified on July 3, 1899. It also had a connection to the Fulton Street trolley. Despite the fact that the ferry ceased operation on January 19, 1924, partially due to the increased use of the Brooklyn Bridge, it closed on June 1, 1940. On June 1 all service from Fulton Ferry and Park Row to Rockaway Avenue was abandoned, as it came under city ownership.

The River Café is a restaurant located in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn, in New York City. The building was founded in 1977 by Michael O’Keefe, who also owns The Water Club in Manhattan. Past chefs include David Burke, Larry Forgione, and Charlie Palmer. As of 2017, chef Brad Steelman had been there for 17 years. The restaurant has been reviewed twice by the New York Times and received two stars both times.

Bargemusic, formally known as Bargemusic, Ltd. is a classical music venue and cultural icon in Brooklyn. Founded in 1977, it is housed on a converted coffee barge moored at Fulton Ferry Landing on the East River near the Brooklyn Bridge.

The River Café is a Michelin starred restaurant located on a former coffee barge in the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge. It opened in June of 1977 after twelve years of obtaining permits and other prep work, and owner Michael "Buzzy" O'Keeffe also operates other venues including Manhattan's Water Club. While early reviews of their food were mixed, the restaurant was one of the first in the city to promote high-end California wines when many were limiting their menus in French wines.While staff such as the wine director stayed for more than forty years, the restaurant is known for incubating American chefs, including Larry Forgione, Charlie Palmer, David Burke and Rick Laakkonen.The restaurant was heavily damaged due to Hurricane Sandy and re-opened in February 2014 with a change in its wine focus. Long before DUMBO/Fulton Ferry was accessible via NYC Ferry, the restaurant offered a house ferry from Wall Street. Despite changes to the dining industry as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, The River Cafe remains a dress code of jackets required.

The Eagle Warehouse & Storage Company, commonly referred to as the Eagle Warehouse, is a building located in Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Designed by Brooklyn architect Frank Freeman and completed in 1894, it had a number of uses before being converted into apartments in 1980. Described as a "masterpiece", the building was designated a New York City landmark in 1977. It is a contributing building in the Fulton Ferry District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

On May 17, 2025, the Mexican Navy ship Cuauhtémoc struck the Brooklyn Bridge while departing New York City. The ship's masts collided with the underside of the bridge, at around the height of her topgallant sails, causing the loss of her topmasts and resulting in two deaths and multiple injuries of people aboard the vessel.

Founded in 2012 by Pasquale "Patsy" Grimaldi and named after his mother, in 2015 it was rated the best pizzeria in the United States on TripAdvisor. Along with cannoli and egg cream seltzer drinks, the restaurant is known for its "classic margherita" pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.

Its most famous restaurant is under the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn at 1 Front Street, next door to its original location. Zagat Survey rated Grimaldi's the No. 1 Pizzeria in New York in 2007. With a carry-out and delivery service model in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2022 it had 43 restaurants in operation overall. It does not sell slices, only whole pies, which are cooked by coal-fired brick oven. It also sells wines and appetizers, as well as calzones. Among deserts are cannoli and tiramisu, as well as New York-style cheesescake.

Fulton Ferry is a small area adjacent to Dumbo in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The neighborhood is named for the Fulton Ferry, a prominent ferry line that crossed the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn, and is also the name of the ferry slip on the Brooklyn side. The neighborhood is part of Brooklyn Community District 2. The Fulton Ferry District is a national historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It consists of 15 contributing buildings built between 1830 and 1895. They are an assortment of commercial and commercial / residential brick buildings ranging from two to four stories in height, with one eight story building. That building is the Eagle Warehouse, a Romanesque Revival style building built by The Brooklyn Eagle in 1893. The district is bisected overhead by the Brooklyn Bridge. Today the area holds many popular attractions such as Pier One of Brooklyn Bridge Park and Grimaldi's Pizzeria. Bargemusic, a concert venue, is moored there today. Manhattan ferry service returned in 2006 at the next pier to the north.

Jane's Carousel (formerly Idora Park Merry-Go-Round) is a carved, wooden, 48-horse carousel that was built in 1922 for the Idora Park amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. It was carved by John Zalar and Frank Carretta, each of whom are attributed with carvings on carousels constructed by PTC and other carousel companies like Looff. The carousel has 30 "jumpers," 18 "standers," two chariots, and a Gebrüder Bruder Band Organ that provides the carousel’s music. Jane's Carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on February 6, 1975, the first carousel to receive such designation. The merry-go-round is not currently listed in the NRHP database, having been delisted (having its listing status changed to "RN") on October 29, 1985.When Idora Park closed to the public in 1984, the carousel was bought at auction by Jane and David Walentas and moved to Brooklyn, New York, for restoration. It was opened to the public at its new location in Brooklyn Bridge Park on the East River in Brooklyn on September 16, 2011. The building commissioned by the Walentas to house the carousel was designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel.

Squibb Park Bridge is a footbridge connecting Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Heights in Brooklyn, New York City. It is the second of two bridges on the same site. The original bridge opened in March 2013 and was demolished in late 2019, being replaced by the current bridge in April 2020. The original structure, designed by Theodore Zoli, became known as a boondoggle due to various problems with its construction, including too much bounce and deterioration of its timbers. The bridge initially cost $4.1 million to construct, but the cost of repairs ultimately ended up making the total cost $7.5 million. The current bridge, designed by Arup Group and built by Turner Construction, is made of steel.

Empire Stores is a former warehouse complex along the waterfront Brooklyn Bridge Park within the neighborhood of Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York City, in the U.S. state of New York. It hosts a food hall and market operated by Time Out New York, which opened in 2019, as well as an art gallery called Gallery 55.
