Sjøstrand is a village in Nesodden, Viken county, Norway.

Nesoddtangen is a village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Nesodden in Akershus, Norway.Nesoddtangen is located on the tip of the peninsula between the inner Oslofjord (Indre Oslofjord) and its arm Bunnefjorden. It is situated 4 miles (7 kilometers) southwest of Oslo. It had 13,150 residents in 2021; about two thirds of the municipality's population. Of the working population in Nesoddtangen, more than 90% work in Oslo. Passenger ferries are the most used commuting transportation.The name Nesoddtangen is a triple tautology, consisting of three parts, nes, odd and tangen, all being synonyms signifying a small cape or promontory.

Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital is a hospital in Nesodden, Norway, and a health trust under Helse Sør-Øst. Sunnaas is the country's largest specialized hospital in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Patient services include cancer services, brain injuries after accidents or disease, multiple injuries, burns, and neurology. The rehabilitation program covers primary rehabilitation, controlled return, and patient programs. The hospital has policlinics in Oslo and on Nesodden and runs laboratory research on the hospital's behalf. Research is a central part of the trust's work. The hospital has its own research department and uses both medical students and their own health personnel.

Bjørnemyr is a Norwegian village located on the west coast of the municipality of Nesodden. The Bjørnemyr Centre contains a grocery store, a hairdresser and spa, and a doctor's office. Recently a small mall was built not far from the Bjørnemyr Centre, which included a grocery store, a small café, a health store, and cutlery. The Sunnaas Hospital lies near Bjørnemyr. Bjørnemyr has an elementary school and a kindergarten situated right next to each other. Bjørnemyr Elementary School has a section for both physically and mentally challenged children.

Hellvik is a village in the municipality of Nesodden, Norway. It is situated on the eastern coast of Nesodden with a coastal view of Bunnefjorden. Hellvik lies north of Berger, east of Skoklefall and south of Ursvik. As Nesodden is a peninsula, the estimated time on the road, when heading into Oslo sentrum is about 50 minutes. Hellviktangen, a bit north of Hellvikstrand, is an old farm, turned into a café, now surrounded by green fields and beaches – the café and the area surrounding it has many times been nominated to be one of the "pearls" of eastern Norway. The village is connected by Hellvikskogveien, Hellvikveien and Hellvikstrand.

Up to now, Hellvik has remained relatively untouched by urbanisation. Since the early 1990s however, Hellvik has seen the construction of several "modernistic" buildings built.

Nesodden is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Follo. The administrative centre of the municipality is Nesoddtangen. The parish of Næsodden was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The new municipality of Oppegård was separated from Nesodden on 1 July 1915.

The Battle of Fornebu was an engagement that occurred on 9 April 1940 during Operation Weserübung when the Germans launched an assault on Oslo, the capital of Norway. Seven fighter planes from the vastly outnumbered Norwegian Army Air Service took to the skies to engage the German forces and managed to shoot down four planes against the loss of one before running out of fuel.
