Born Castle

Born (Luxembourgish: Bur meaning spring or fountain, French: Born-sur-Sûre, German: Born an der Sauer) is a village on the River Sauer in the commune of Mompach, in eastern Luxembourg. It lies on the N10, 14 km (9 mi) south of Echternach and 8 km (5 mi) north of Wasserbillig. Only 5 minutes drive from the E44 motorway from Luxembourg City to Trier, it is popular with tourists and day-trippers who walk, cycle or fish along the banks of the river. As of 2001, Born has a population of 340.

Girst (Luxembourgish: Giischt) is a village in the commune of Rosport, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the village had a population of 109.

Moersdorf (Luxembourgish: Méischdref) is a small town in the commune of Mompach, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 293. It is often called the “little Switzerland of Luxembourg” by residents and tourists alike.

The Sauer Valley Bridge is a motorway (Autobahn) bridge high above the Sauer River which at this point marks the frontier between Luxembourg and Germany. It was constructed between 1984 and 1987.The bridge is 1,195 m (3,920.6 ft) long and, at the lowest point of the valley, 98 m (321.5 ft) above the valley floor. Viewed from above it is formed as a curve with a radius of 2,000 m (6,561.7 ft). Additionally, the road surface has a constant 1% gradient. The girder bridge was built with a single superstructure for both carriage ways, and is positioned approximately a kilometer to the north of Wasserbillig in Luxembourg.

Trier-Land is a Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the border with Luxembourg, north and west of Trier. The seat of the municipality is in Trier, itself not part of the municipality. Trierweiler is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The name Trierweiler was first mentioned in 1202. Because of the town's close proximity to the Luxembourg border, many residents commute to work in Luxembourg.

The Wasserbillig Aquarium is located in Wasserbillig, a small town in the south west of Luxembourg on the German border. It consists of 15 tanks ranging in size from 300 to 40,000 litres (79 to 10,567 US gal), with fish from all five continents in their natural surroundings. Among the more exotic varieties are angelfish, neon tetra, the colourful Japanese koi and percidae from South America. But there are also species from closer to home, including eel, bream, gudgeon, asp, tench and zander.Set on a hill overlooking the River Sauer, the aquarium also has a restaurant and a children's playground. It is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day from Easter until the end of September, the rest of the year it is open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Tudor Museum (French: Musée Tudor), also known as Rosport Castle (French: Château de Rosport, Luxembourgish: Schlass vu Rouspert), is located in the little town of Rosport (Luxembourgish: Rouspert) in north-eastern Luxembourg. Built in 1892, it was the home of the Luxembourg inventor Henri Tudor. Since May 2009, the castle has housed the Tudor Museum.

Wasserbillig (Luxembourgish: Waasserbëlleg [vaːsɐˈbələɕ] ) is a town in the commune of Mertert, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, Wasserbillig has 2,186 inhabitants, which makes it the largest town in Mertert. Wasserbillig is the administrative seat of the commune of Mertert.
