The Fontana Farms Company Ranch House, Camp No. 1 is a historic ranch house located at 8863 Pepper Street in Fontana, California. Built in 1905–06, it was the first building constructed in Fontana, then a rural community known as Rosena. The Semi-Tropic Land and Water Company platted Rosena in 1887, but no construction occurred in the area until after the Fontana Development Company bought the land in 1903. The company made plans to build a farm on the property, and construction began in 1905; the Camp No. 1 house served as the farm's main headquarters and housed its managers. The farm mainly grew grain crops, though it also had significant fruit and livestock operations. Fontana became an industrial city during World War II, and the ranch house is one of the few remnants of its agricultural past.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1982.

Fontana station is a train station served by Metrolink San Bernardino Line commuter rail, located in the city of Fontana, California. It is immediately adjacent to Fontana's Downtown District. The station opened on November 22, 1993, and is owned by the City of Fontana. Fontana station is served by 34 Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains (17 in each direction) each weekday, running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 16 trains (8 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday, evenly spaced throughout the day.The Omnitrans public bus service maintains a transit center next to the station and connections are available to Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA). Omnitrans Route 61 connects to Ontario Airport.

The U.S. Rabbit Experimental Station was the first and only facility in the United States set aside for the study of breeding and raising of rabbits. Started in 1928, in Fontana, California the station studied rabbits until it closed in 1965. The U.S. Rabbit Experimental Station was designated a California Historic Landmark (No.950) on June 9, 1982. A marker was placed in Fontana at the site. The station was built on land donated by A. B. Miller, the founder of Fontana. The five-acre (2.0 ha) property in Fontana developed procedures for rabbit care and breeding. The City of Fontana purchased the property and turned it into a senior citizens' facility in 1965.

Mount Jurupa is the highest point of the Jurupa Mountains, located in northwestern Riverside County, California. The summit is just south of the Riverside – San Bernardino county line. A hiking trail leads to its summit, which offers panoramic views of Riverside, Fontana, San Bernardino, and Moreno Valley. In a small canyon at the base of the mountain is the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center, a non-profit educational facility that includes nature trails, gardens, and an Earth Science Museum. The name can be traced to the Jurupa land grant dated September 28, 1838. Before the secularization of the missions, Jurupa was the name of one of the Mission San Gabriel ranchos. Jarupa was probably a Serrano or Gabrielino Shoshonean name.

Kaiser built a large steel mill in the area. Bono's Restaurant and Deli is a historic restaurant located at 15395 Foothill Boulevard in Fontana, California. The restaurant opened in 1936 to serve travelers on U.S. Route 66, which then passed in front of the site; it originally operated as a produce stand. In 1943, increased traffic on the highway prompted the owners to expand their operations, and the current building was constructed as a full-service restaurant. The restaurant building has a Streamline Moderne design and features red and green stripes promoting its Italian cuisine as well as painted grapevines promoting its wine. As Fontana's Italian immigrant community grew in the 1940s, the restaurant also became a local source of Italian foods previously unavailable in the area.The Big Orange, a 7-foot (2.1 m) tall orange-shaped citrus stand, is located on the property of the restaurant. The orange was originally located 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east; restaurant owner Joe Bono [cousin of Sonny Bono] purchased the stand in the 1990s and moved it to its current site. While the restaurant had an orange-shaped stand of its own when it served Route 66 traffic, it was eventually demolished due to decreased demand. The Big Orange is one of six surviving orange-shaped buildings in California.The restaurant, which reopened on February 8, 2019, after being closed for many years, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. Joe Bono received permission to move the building 20 feet (6.1 m) back from Foothill Boulevard in 2013.
