Carolina Forest High School

Carolina Forest is a census-designated place (CDP) in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 23,342.It is located west of Myrtle Beach and east of Conway in an area planned by International Paper in the late 1990s. Most of the development follows the Carolina Forest Master Plan, developed cooperatively between International Paper and the Horry County Government. Carolina Forest also includes the unincorporated community of Pine Island.

Tuckahoe Bay is located in Horry County, South Carolina in the Nixonville Quadrangle of South Carolina. It is a Carolina bay, which is similar to a swamp with an oval shape. The bay is next to the Covington Lake and Waterford Plantation subdivisions in the Carolina Forest neighborhood of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is noted that the flora in the bay is noticeably shorter than that of the surrounding area. This is due to the difference in soil type. Tuckahoe Bay has a Jo soil type, or Johnston Loam.

Myrtle Beach Speedway (originally named Rambi Raceway), was built in 1958 and was located on U.S. Route 501 near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The speedway was a semi-banked asphalt oval track that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km).The NASCAR Cup Series competed at the Speedway from 1958 through 1965. The NASCAR Busch Series (now the Xfinity Series) raced at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 1988 to 2000. Over the years, Myrtle Beach Speedway has been the training grounds for some of NASCAR's biggest stars including Jeff Gordon (former Busch Series track record holder). All four generations of Pettys (Lee, Richard, Kyle, and Adam) and three generations of Earnhardts (Ralph, Dale Sr., Dale Jr., and Kelley) have taken a green flag around the asphalt oval that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km).

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a public technical college in Conway, South Carolina. It is a part of the South Carolina Technical College System. HGTC is the fourth largest technical college in the state, and offers over 65 degree and certificate programs in Golf & Sports Turf Technology, Arts & Science, Business, Engineering & Industrial Technology, Health Science, Information/Computer Technology, and Public Service Technology. Tourism programs that have been added help the local economy. 90 percent of graduates stay in the area.HGTC currently has three campuses. In addition to the main campus on U.S. 501 next to Coastal Carolina University in Conway (33.7964°N 79.0033°W / 33.7964; -79.0033 (Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Conway Campus)), the school has campuses in Myrtle Beach (33.6591°N 78.9416°W / 33.6591; -78.9416 (Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Grand Strand Campus)) and Georgetown (33.3205°N 79.3213°W / 33.3205; -79.3213 (Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Georgetown Campus)). Students can also take classes online. The Conway campus has 13 buildings on 50 acres (20.2 ha).The Grand Strand Campus Conference and Business Center near The Market Common has meeting space that includes the Thomas C. Maeser Auditorium, a 3,650-square-foot (339 m2) ballroom.

Scholars Academy is a four-year public high school institution located in Conway, South Carolina at Coastal Carolina University. The school was established as part of Horry County Schools for gifted education in 2003.

Kimbel Library, located in Conway, South Carolina, is the academic library at Coastal Carolina University. It is named after William and Maud Kimbel.

Coastal Carolina University (CCU or Coastal) is a public university in Conway, South Carolina. Founded in 1954 as Coastal Carolina Junior College, and later joining the University of South Carolina System as USC Coastal Carolina, it became an independent university in 1993. The university is a national sea-grant institution and owns part of Waties Island, an Atlantic barrier island that serves as a natural laboratory for CCU's instruction and research. The campus is also the home of the Horry County Schools Scholars Academy, a high school for gifted students.

Red Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 13,223 at the 2010 census, up from 10,509 at the 2000 census.

Kimbel Arena is a 1,039-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, United States. It was home to the Coastal Carolina University men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team through the 2011–12 season, but those teams moved to the new HTC Center in the fall of 2012. The arena hosted the 2010 and 2011 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament finals. The arena is located inside the Williams Brice Physical Education Center.

Springs Brooks Stadium/Vrooman Field is a baseball park in the southeastern United States, located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. It is the home field of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers of the Sun Belt Conference. The 33,000-square-foot (3,100 m2) baseball project includes 2,500 permanent seats, with the potential to accommodate between 5,000-6,000 for major events like the NCAA postseason tournament.

Charles Watson Stadium was a baseball stadium located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. It has since been replaced with Springs Brooks Stadium. Vrooman Field is still the home field of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball team.

Coastal Carolina University Soccer Field is a soccer-specific stadium in Conway, South Carolina on the Coastal Carolina University campus. The field is home to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers men's and women's soccer teams. The facility seats 1,000 people.
