Aldeby

Aldeby railway station was a station in Aldeby, in the English county of Norfolk. It was on the line between Great Yarmouth and Beccles; the station was opened in 1854 when the line from Ipswich to Beccles was extended northwards. It was closed in 1959.

Stanley and Alder Carrs, Aldeby is a 42.7-hectare (106-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Gillingham in Norfolk. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.Most of this site is alder carr woodland next to the River Waveney, which is often flooded. It has a diverse insect fauna. There are also areas of open fen with plants including common reed, reed canary grass and hemp-agrimony.The site is private land with no public access.

Haddiscoe is a village and civil parish in the South Norfolk district of Norfolk, England, about 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Norwich. The parish is on the county boundary with Suffolk, about 7 miles (11 km) west-northwest of Lowestoft. The parish includes the hamlet of Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Haddiscoe village.The civil parish has an area of 19.88 km2 (7.68 sq mi). The 2011 Census recorded its population as 487 people in 210 households.

Toft Monks is a village and parish in Norfolk, England. It is located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk about eleven miles southwest of Great Yarmouth and four miles north of Beccles. In 2001, the parish is recorded as accommodating 324 people in 131 households over 687 hectares[1], increasing to 348 at the 2011 Census.The local church in the village is dedicated to St. Margaret and was originally constructed in the 13th century. Toft Monks House is a Grade II listed Regency house built for local merchant William Grimmer in 1819.

Beccles Town Football Club is an English football club based in Beccles, Suffolk. They are nicknamed 'The Wherrymen', because Beccles was once a busy trading town on the River Waveney. The club is affiliated to the Suffolk County FA and are currently members of the Anglian Combination Premier Division. They play at College Meadow. They play an annual match against Beccles Caxton called the Hospital Cup. All proceeds from the match are donated to Beccles Hospital.

Beccles railway station is on the East Suffolk Line in the east of England, serving the town of Beccles, Suffolk. It is 40 miles 34 chains (65.1 km) down the line from Ipswich and 109 miles 11 chains (175.6 km) measured from London Liverpool Street; it is situated between Brampton and Oulton Broad South stations. Its three-letter station code is BCC. It is managed by Abellio Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains that call.

Haddiscoe High Level was a railway station in Haddiscoe, Norfolk serving the now closed Yarmouth-Beccles Line. It obtained its name due to its close proximity to Haddiscoe railway station which served the Wherry Lines. The station was closed in 1959 at the same time as the line it served.

Haddiscoe railway station (formerly Haddiscoe Low Level) is on the Wherry Lines in Norfolk, England, named after the village of Haddiscoe, some 2 miles (3.2 km) distant, although the village of St Olaves on the other side of the River Waveney is closer.[1] It is 16 miles 11 chains (26 km) down the line from Norwich on the route to Lowestoft and is situated between Reedham and Somerleyton. Its three-letter station code is HAD. It is managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains serving the station. Haddiscoe station is remote, positioned as it is at the end of a minor road, though it does have a car park.

Somerleyton Swing Bridge is a railway swing bridge over the River Waveney on the Norfolk-Suffolk border. It was built in 1905 to carry the double tracked Norwich to Lowestoft Line over the river, replacing a previous single tracked bridge. It is 400 metres (1,300 ft) west of Somerleyton railway station and near to the Suffolk village of Somerleyton. It is one of only four remaining railway swing bridges crossing rivers in The Broads.

The Yarmouth–Beccles line was a railway line which linked the Suffolk market town of Beccles with the Norfolk coastal resort of Yarmouth. Forming part of the East Suffolk Railway, the line was opened in 1859 and closed 100 years later in 1959.

The Corn Exchange is a commercial building in Exchange Square in Beccles, Suffolk, England. The structure, which is now used as a branch of Lloyds Bank, is a Grade II listed building.
