The Lyric Performing Arts Center is a music venue in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, located close to the University of Baltimore law school. The building was modeled after the Concertgebouw concert hall in Amsterdam, and it was inaugurated on October 31, 1894, with a performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Australian opera singer Nellie Melba as the featured soloist. Beginning in 1904, it was also used for touring performances by the Metropolitan Opera, and from 1950, it was the home of the Baltimore Opera Company until that company's liquidation in 2009.The venue was originally called The Music Hall at its founding in 1894. Between 1909 and 2010, it was known as the Lyric Opera House. When entrepreneur and football team owner Art Modell and his wife pledged a $3.5 million donation in 2010, it was renamed The Patricia & Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric in their honor. The name reverted to "The Lyric" on March 31, 2021.The Lyric was home of the Lyric Opera Baltimore, founded after the demise of Baltimore Lyric Opera, from 2011 to 2017.

The Mount Royal Station is a historic building in Baltimore, Maryland, which was the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's third train station in Baltimore, Maryland, and is now part of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) campus. The station was at the north end of the Baltimore Belt Line's Howard Street tunnel in the Bolton Hill neighborhood. It was the first railroad station in the world to have electrified passenger trains when it opened on September 1, 1896, serving the B&O's famed Royal Blue line. Following its closure as a railroad station in 1961, it became part of the Maryland Institute College of Art, where it now houses the Middendorf Gallery, as well as studio and classroom space for the university's sculpture and fiber departments.

The Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) is a private art and design college in Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1826 as the Maryland Institute for the Promotion of the Mechanic Arts, it is regarded as one of the oldest art colleges in the United States.MICA is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), a consortium of 36 leading US art schools, as well as the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The Hotel Brexton, in Baltimore, Maryland, is in a Queen Anne-styled building which was built in 1881. It was built as a residential hotel for Samuel Wyman, who was a Baltimore merchant. It is a member of the Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.The Brexton is a six-story building made of Baltimore pressed brick and Scotch sandstone. The hotel's "most defining characteristic", according to the Historic Hotels of America program, was "its wonderful spiral staircase, which extended up through every floor of the hotel."

Mt. Royal/MICA station, often referred to interchangeably as University of Baltimore / Mount Royal station, (formerly Mount Royal ststion) is a Baltimore Light Rail station in Baltimore, Maryland. It is on the northwest edge of the University of Baltimore campus and on the northern edge of the MICA campus, across Mount Royal Avenue from the site of Baltimore & Ohio Railroad's former Mount Royal Station. It opened in 1992 as part of the line's initial operating segment. The station's construction was funded by the University of Baltimore for the use of its students after the State of Maryland proposed its elimination from the plan to reduce costs.
