Larochette Castle

Larochette (French pronunciation: [laʁɔʃɛt]; Luxembourgish: Fiels, German: Fels) is a commune and town in central Luxembourg, in the canton of Mersch. It is situated on the White Ernz river. The town is dominated by the partly ruined Larochette Castle. The town of Larochette lies in the north-east of the commune. Other towns within the commune include Ernzen. Meysembourg Castle, located some 2 kilometres (1+1⁄4 mi) south-west of Larochette, has a history dating back to the 12th century. Today's castle was built in 1880 in Neo-Renaissance style and is privately owned.

Ernzen (Luxembourgish: Ierenz) is a small village in the commune of Larochette, in central Luxembourg. As of 2023, the town has a population of 536.

Diekirch is a canton in the north of Luxembourg. Its capital is Diekirch. Neither the canton, town, nor commune of Diekirch should be confused with the former district of Diekirch, one of three administrative units in Luxembourg abolished in October 2015.

Heffingen is where Loschbour man, a homo sapiens of over 8000 years old, was found.

Meysembourg Castle (Luxembourgish: Schlass Meesebuerg; French: Château de Meysembourg) is located some 2 km south-west of Larochette in central Luxembourg. While the site has a history dating back to the 12th century, today's castle was built in 1880 in Neo-Renaissance style and is privately owned.

Vallée de l'Ernz (Luxembourgish: Ärenzdall) is a commune in northern Luxembourg, in the canton of Diekirch. The commune of Vallée de l'Ernz was formed on 1 January 2012 from the former communes of Ermsdorf and Medernach. The law creating the Vallée de l'Ernz was passed on 24 May 2011. It has an area of 39.73 km2.

Ermsdorf (Luxembourgish: Iermsdref) is a village and former commune in eastern Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Diekirch, which is part of the district of Diekirch. As of 2005, the village of Ermsdorf, which lies in the south of the commune, has a population of 221. Since 2011, Ermsdorf has merged with Medernach to become the "Aerenzdallgemeng" (commune Vallée de l'Ernz, Ernztalgemeinde)

Nommern (Luxembourgish: Noumer) is a commune and small town in central Luxembourg, in the canton of Mersch. As of 2005, the town of Nommern, which lies in the east of the commune, has a population of 262. Other towns within the commune include Cruchten and Schrondweiler.

Fischbach Castle (Luxembourgish: Schlass Fëschbech, French: Château de Fischbach, German: Schloss Fischbach) is a castle in Luxembourg. It is situated near the town of Fischbach, in central Luxembourg.

Christnach (Luxembourgish: Chrëschtnech) is a small town in the commune of Waldbillig, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 381. The town contains a golf course named Golf Christnach, which includes an 18-hole and 9-hole course, along with 2 hiking trails ejecting from the golf course named Nordic Walking Park Mëllerdall 2 and 3. As tourist highlights, Nordic Walking Park Mëllerdall 2 is 10.2 kilometers (6.3 miles) long and contains the "model" village of Christnach. Nordic Walking Park Mëllerdall 3 is 11 kilometers (6.8 miles) long and contains the birthplace of Michel Rodange.

Reuland (Luxembourgish: Reiland) is a village in the commune of Heffingen, in central Luxembourg. As of 2005, the village has a population of 188.
