St Andrew's Church, Gunton

Gunton Hall, Gunton Park, is a large country house near Suffield in Norfolk.

Hagon Beck is a minor watercourse which rises in the north of the English county of Norfolk. It falls into Great Lake in Gunton Park, which in turn feeds Suffield Beck. Suffield Beck is a tributary of Blackwater Beck which in turn joins the River Bure. Its spring is a little north of the North Norfolk village of Roughton. There were two watermills on the beck. The first was located at Gunton, and the second is a sawmill in Suffield Park.

Gunton Park Lake is a 18.3-hectare (45-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest by Gunton Hall, north-west of North Walsham in Norfolk. It was formed by damming Hagon Beck. This artificial lake has the largest flock of post-breeding gadwall in Britain, and more than 500 birds have sometimes been recorded in September. Wintering wildfowl include teal, mallard, shoveler, shelduck and goosander.The site is private land with no public access.

Roughton is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 3.7 miles (6.0 km) south of Cromer, 19.6 miles (31.5 km) north of Norwich, and 6.5 miles (10.5 km) north-west of North Walsham. It straddles the A140 between Cromer and Norwich and the B1463. The villages name means 'Rough farm/settlement', referring to the character of the ground.

Alby with Thwaite is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The parish straddles the A140 some 10 km south of Cromer and 30 km north of Norwich, including the settlements of Alby and Thwaite. Alby with Thwaite has an area of 5.81 km2 and in the 2001 census had a population of 223 in 86 households, the population increasing to 245 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk.The church at the hamlet of Thwaite All Saints, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. Other features of interest are the 1624 pulpit and the 1824 Sunday school room situated north of the chancel. The novelist Gertrude Fenton lived at the White House in All Saints’ Thwaite with her husband Arthur in the 1870s.

Northrepps Aerodrome is a privately owned airfield south west of the village of Northrepps, North Norfolk, England approximately 3 mi (4.8 km) south-south-east of Cromer. It is located next to the A149 road close to its junction with the A 140.

Gunton railway station on the Bittern Line in Norfolk, England, serves the villages of Lower Street, Thorpe Market and Southrepps. It is 19 miles 63 chains (31.8 km) from Norwich, between North Walsham to the south and Roughton Road to the north. Train services are operated by Greater Anglia. There is no village named Gunton: the station is in the parish of Thorpe Market and closest to Lower Street. It was built primarily for the convenience of Lord Suffield, who lived at nearby Gunton Hall, a major investor in the original East Norfolk Railway which built the line from Norwich to Cromer.The station is unstaffed and consists of a single platform with a basic shelter. Originally the location of a passing loop, the northbound platform and station buildings are preserved but now privately owned. There is an unrestricted car park at the station that can accommodate about ten vehicles.

The village is 5.2 miles (8.4 km) southeast of Cromer, 21.9 miles (35.2 km) north of Norwich and 136.0 miles (218.9 km) north of London. The village lies northeast of the A149 between Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth. The nearest railway station is at Gunton for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The village is close to the sea and surrounded by rich agricultural land.
