Mill Hill Park

UCL Observatory (called the University of London Observatory until 2015) at Mill Hill in London is an astronomical teaching observatory. It is part of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University College London.

Copthall School (formerly Copthall County Grammar School) is a girls' secondary school and sixth form located in the Mill Hill area of the London Borough of Barnet, England. The school was formed in 1973 by the amalgamation of Copthall County Grammar School and Woodcroft Secondary Modern. The original 1930s grammar school building has been joined to a new wing of equal size. A new library opened in 1999 and the school received an excellence award from the DfES in 2001.The school was converted to academy status in October 2012, and was previously a community school under the direct control of Barnet London Borough Council. The school continues to coordinate with Barnet London Borough Council for admissions. Copthall School offers GCSEs, City and Guilds qualifications and ESOL courses as programmes of study for pupils. Students in the sixth form have the option to study a range of A Levels.

Arrandene Open Space and Featherstone Hill is a 25 hectare Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet. Arrandene Open Space is a large area of pasture divided by ancient hedgerows, and it is one of London's rare traditionally managed old hay meadows. It contains numerous uncommon plant species characteristic of unimproved grassland, such as greater bird's-foot trefoil, common knapweed and ox-eye daisy.Trees include the uncommon wild service tree, and breeding birds include spotted flycatcher, lesser whitethroat, reed bunting and skylark. Featherstone Hill is a partly wooded hill in the south west of the site. It was purchased by Hendon Council in 1929 to preserve it for public recreation at a time when the area was rapidly developing.There is free public access to the site, which has a network of public footpaths and a bridleway. There are entrances in Wise Lane, Milespit Hill and Wills Grove.

The Mill Field is a 3.4-hectare (8.4-acre) Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet. It is a public open space which slopes steeply down from the road called The Ridgeway. It may be the site of the windmill which gave the area its name. This was documented as early as 1321 and had disappeared by 1754.The upper part, which has good views across west London, is managed as a park and has a football pitch. The lower slopes are less managed, with grassland, hedgerows marking former field boundaries, scattered trees, and areas of creeping thistle. A small stream, probably a tributary of Burnt Oak Brook, flows from a spring fed pond, which has a rich wetland flora. Wild flowers include devil's-bit scabious and Common Tormentil, and the small copper butterfly is found there.There is access from The Ridgeway near Hammers Lane.

Mill Hill Broadway railway station is on the Midland Main Line in England, serving the suburb of Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet, north London. It is 9 miles 28 chains (15.0 km) down the line from St Pancras and is situated between Hendon to the south and Elstree & Borehamwood to the north. Its three-letter station code is MIL. The station is served by Thameslink-operated trains on the Thameslink route. It is in Transport for London's Travelcard Zone 4.

Mill Hill (The Hale) railway station was a station in Mill Hill in north London, on the now-removed railway between Mill Hill East station and Edgware railway station. It was located near the junction of Bunns Lane and Lyndhurst Avenue.

Mill Hill is a suburb in the London Borough of Barnet, England. It is situated around 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Charing Cross. It was in the historic county of Middlesex until 1965, when it became part of Greater London. Its population was 18,451 in 2011.It consists of the original Mill Hill Village; the later-developed Mill Hill Broadway (now the area's main hub); and Mill Hill East, alongside large swathes of countryside. A further area at the western edge of the suburb, The Hale, is on the borders of Mill Hill and Edgware, and is partly in each.

Copthall South Fields is a six hectare Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation, next to Fiveways Corner on the A1, in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet.It has several fields with scattered trees and ancient hedgerows. The trees are mainly oak, ash and field maple. The fields contain wild flowers such as meadow vetchling and meadow buttercup, and there are stands of tall herbs. A small plot of native woodland has been planted in the northern field by Watling Chase Community Forest.There is access from Page Street, near Fiveways Corner, and from Champions Way.

Hendon North was a constituency in the former Municipal Borough of Hendon (later subsumed into the London Borough of Barnet) which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 1945 general election as the existing Hendon constituency was too large (the estimated electorate in 1941 was 217,900 ), and lasted until the 1997 general election when the London Borough of Barnet's Parliamentary representation was reduced from four seats to three.

St James Catholic High School is voluntary aided mixed sex school for students from 11–18 years of age. It was founded by the Dominican sisters in 1934. Today it operates from one site in Colindale, Barnet in North London, England. The current headteacher is Mrs. Carolyn Laws (since January 2017).

Hendon Aerodrome was an aerodrome in London, England, that was an important centre for aviation from 1908 to 1968. It was situated in Colindale, seven miles (11 km) north west of Charing Cross. It nearly became "the Charing Cross of the UK's international air routes", but for the actions of the RAF after the First World War. It was known as a place of pioneering experiments including the first airmail, the first parachute descent from a powered aircraft, the first night flights, and the first aerial defence of a city.
