Nara Club (奈良クラブ, Nara Kurabu) is a Japanese football (soccer) club based in the city of Nara, capital of Nara Prefecture. They currently play in J3 League, the third tier professional in the Japanese football league system.

Naraden Arena is an arena in Nara, Nara, Japan. It is the home arena of the Bambitious Nara of the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league.

Nara Dreamland (Japanese: 奈良ドリームランド, Hepburn: Nara Dorīmurando), or just simply Dreamland, was a theme park near Nara, Japan, heavily inspired by Disneyland in California. It opened in 1961 and was in continuous operation until its permanent closure in 2006 as a result of falling attendance. The park was left abandoned until it was demolished between October 2016 and December 2017.

The Kitayama Jūhachikento (北山十八間戸) was a welfare facility built in the Kawakami neighborhood of the city of Nara during the Kamakura period to protect and provide relief to people with serious illnesses such as leprosy. It was designated a National Historic Site in 1921.

Hannya-ji (般若寺) is a Buddhist temple of the Shingon Ritsu sect in Nara, Japan. Its foundation is variously dated, but mention in a document in the Shōsōin provides a terminus ante quem of the mid-eighth century.

Nara Women's University (奈良女子大学, Nara joshi daigaku) is a national women's university located in Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It is one of two national women's universities in the country, the other being Ochanomizu University.

The Shōsō-in (正倉院) is the treasure house of Tōdai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan. The building is in the azekura (log-cabin) style with a raised floor. It lies to the northwest of the Great Buddha Hall. The Shōsō-in houses artifacts connected to Emperor Shōmu (聖武天皇)(701–756) and Empress Kōmyō (光明皇后)(701–760), as well as arts and crafts of the Tempyō (天平) era of Japanese history.

Nara Prefectural Museum of Art (奈良県立美術館, Nara kenritsu bijutsukan) opened in Nara, Japan in 1973. The collection numbers some 4,100 items and special exhibitions are also held.

Nara Prefectural University (奈良県立大学, Nara kenritsu daigaku) is a public university in Nara, Nara, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1953, and it was chartered as a university in 1990.

Tōdai-ji (東大寺, Todaiji temple, "Eastern Great Temple") is a Buddhist temple complex that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in the city of Nara, Japan. The construction of the temple was an attempt to imitate Chinese temples from the much-admired Tang dynasty. Though it was originally founded in the year 738 CE, Tōdai-ji was not opened until the year 752 CE. The temple has undergone several reconstructions since then, with the most significant reconstruction (that of the Great Buddha Hall) taking place in 1709. However, it was on the verge of collapse in the late 19th century due to the weight of its huge roof. The collapse was prevented through a first restoration (1904–1913), and its current appearance was completed using rebars and concretes between 1974 and 1980. Its Great Buddha Hall (大仏殿 Daibutsuden) houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu (大仏). The temple also serves as the Japanese headquarters of the Kegon school of Buddhism. The temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara", together with seven other sites (including temples, shrines and places) in the city of Nara.

Kintetsu Nara Station (近鉄奈良駅, Kintetsu-Nara-eki) is a railway station on the Nara Line in Nara, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Kintetsu Railway.

Sento-kun (せんとくん) is a yuru-chara mascot created by Nara City Office to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of Nara Heijō-kyō, the ancient capital of Japan, in 2010. The city of Nara has a long tradition of adopting guardian deities such as Nio (a pair of temple guardians), Asura, Jūni Shinshō (Twelve Heavenly Generals) and Shitenno (Four Guardian Kings). The new mascot was chosen by the city office to inherit their mission, and as a "personification of the energy" of the ancient capital dotted with temples, gardens and shrines. Sento-kun is meant to resemble an amiable young boy who has the antlers of a deer, an animal which has long been regarded as a heavenly protector of the city.
