The University of Nottingham Malaysia is a private university branch campus of the University of Nottingham. The university is situated in Semenyih, Selangor, Malaysia. The university has been ranked as "excellent" or tier 5 in a scale of tier 1-6 and is classified as a private institution, by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. The campus is run as a company called The University of Nottingham Malaysia Sdn Bhd (473520-K) with the provost being dual hatted as the CEO. The majority shareholder is Boustead Holdings. The Malaysia campus was the first campus of a British university in Malaysia and one of the first to open outside Britain thus earning the distinction of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2001 and the Queen's Award for Industry (International Trade) 2006.The University of Nottingham's other overseas campus is located in Ningbo, China.

Semenyih is a town and a mukim in Hulu Langat District in southeastern Selangor, Malaysia along the Kajang–Seremban road. It is 28 km (17 mi) southeast of downtown Kuala Lumpur and 8 km (5.0 mi) southeast of Kajang.

Mount Tok Wan (Malay: Gunung Tok Wan) is a mountain located on the summit of Broga Hill in Semenyih, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, close to the border with Negeri Sembilan. It rises to 675 m (2,215 ft) at its peak. The mountain is reported to have been discovered by a group of officers from Kajang Prison in 2010. The hike up Gunung Tok Wan is rated moderate to hard. Hikers must first summit Broga Hill before continuing up Mount Tok Wan.

The Raja Alang Mosque (Malay: Masjid Raja Alang) is a historical mosque in Beranang, Sepang District, Selangor, Malaysia. It was named after Raja Alang, who was the son of Tengku Panglima Besar Selangor, Raja Berayun Raja Ibrahim, who ruled Kajang during Almarhum Sultan Sir Abdul Samad's reign. He was from Sumatra, Indonesia.

Kajang Prison (Malay: Penjara Kajang; formerly known as Selangor Central Prison) is a prison located in Sungai Jelok, Selangor, Malaysia.During the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia in early 2022, 18 inmates were suspected of having adverse effects after taking the COVID-19 vaccine, two of whom died as a result.

The Kajang High School (Malay: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Kajang), better known by its initials KHS in English and SMKTK in Bahasa Malaysia, is a national secondary school (Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan) in Kajang, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is the oldest school in Kajang and the district of Hulu Langat when the first block was erected at Mile 14 Cheras Road (Jalan Cheras), (located at latitude 2°59'37.49"N and longitude 101°47'45.65"E) opposite Jamek Mosque of Kajang. The former site was a vacant lot that held satay stalls in 1903 CE and later shifted to its permanent site beside Semenyih Road, a hilly area where the first block (Blok Utama) was constructed. The word high in Kajang High School gets its meaning, from the namesake of being located on top of a hill.

UKM Bangi Stadium is a small stadium located at Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia. Its capacity is 500. The stadium is built for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and the UKM F.C. team. Real Mulia F.C. is the other tenant that also use the stadium. It is sometimes used for football matches from the local team. It can also be used as a rugby pitch. Activities made by the university are sometimes held in the stadium.
