The Kajang Hospital (Malay: Hospital Kajang) is a government-funded district hospital located in Kajang, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia.

Kajang is a town in both Hulu Langat District and Sepang District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Some parts of Kajang such as Seksyen 12 Bandar Baru Bangi, Kampung Sungai Merab, Desa Pinggiran Putra and Kampung Dato Abu Bakar Baginda are located in northeast Dengkil, Sepang District and is governed by the Sepang Municipal Council. Kajang town is located on the eastern banks of the Langat River. It is surrounded by Cheras, Semenyih, Bangi, Putrajaya and Serdang. According to the 2020 census, the local authority area (which includes Kajang, Cheras, Balakong, Bangi, Semenyih and Pekan Hulu Langat) has a population of 1.05 million people.

New Era University College (NEUC) is a private, non-profit higher education institution in Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was founded on May 28, 1997. NEUC is a LCCI Registered Training Centre (RTC), and also a Cisco Networking Academy, which teaches students networking and other information technology-related courses such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).

The Stadium Kajang MRT station is an elevated mass rapid transit (MRT) station on the Kajang Line (SBK line), located in downtown Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was opened on 17 July 2017, along with 19 adjoining stations (from Muzium Negara to Kajang) as part of Phase 2 of the system. It is the second-to-last station towards Kajang on the SBK line. The station stands close to the right bank of the Langat River and is located adjacent to the Kajang Stadium (the station's namesake), as well as the Kajang RTM branch, the Bangunan Dato' Nazir building which housed the Sate Kajang Haji Samuri, other satay stalls at Medan Sate Kajang, SJK (C) Yu Hua and SMJK Yu Hua national elementary schools. The station is also close to Kajang's historic core, the Sungai Chua ward and the junction between Semenyih Highway Federal Route 1 and Jalan Reko B17. During construction, the station was provisionally named Bandar Kajang, as it served the downtown area of Kajang; the adjoining Kajang station, despite its name, does not directly serve downtown Kajang. This is one of two stations serving Kajang's town centre, the other being Sungai Jernih.

Kajang Prison (Malay: Penjara Kajang; formerly known as Selangor Central Prison) is a prison located in Sungai Jelok, Selangor, Malaysia.During the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia in early 2022, 18 inmates were suspected of having adverse effects after taking the COVID-19 vaccine, two of whom died as a result.

Teluk Pulai is a modern residential and township located within the Klang town center in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. Teluk Pulai falls under the jurisdiction of the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and divided by two DUN state assembly jurisdiction which is Bandar Baru Klang and Selat Klang.

The Kajang 2 Railway station is a KTM Komuter infill train station located in Kajang 2, Bandar Baru Bangi, Kajang, Selangor. The station is on the KTM Komuter's Seremban Line.

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (abbreviated as UTAR; simplified Chinese: 拉曼大学; traditional Chinese: 拉曼大學) is a not-for-profit private research university in Malaysia. UTAR ranked top 100 in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2018 and top 600 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, placing it 2nd overall in Malaysia only after University of Malaya. UTAR also ranked 31st in UI GreenMetric Ranking Top 50 Under 50 2022, and 3rd in Malaysia for Nature Index Institution Research Output.UTAR was established in June 2002 through the UTAR Education Foundation, a non-for-profit organisation, and a total of 411 students are enrolled in June 2002 for its first intake. It is easily accessible via major highways such as the Sungai Besi Expressway, North-South Expressway, South Klang Valley Expressway and Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK). This development is also within close vicinity of several golf clubs (UPM Golf, IlSAS Recreational Golf Club, Kajang Hill Golf Club, Saujana Impian Golf Club, Sungai Long Golf Club, Mines Golf Club and IOI Palm golf), three universities (Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM))and three international schools (Alice Smith International School, Australian International School, Malaysia and Tanarata International School). Within Jade Hills itself there is also Eaton International School which opened for classes in September 2013.

Bandar Baru Bangi (literal translation: Bangi New Town) is a township and satellite town of Kajang situated in Hulu Langat District, in southeastern Selangor, Malaysia. It is named after the small town of Bangi situated further south. It is located between Kajang and Putrajaya (formerly Prang Besar) and is about 25 km away from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Bandar Baru Bangi acts as the satellite town and Central Business District of Kajang, with most banks and government offices operating out of the township. Bandar Baru Bangi is also known as "Bandar Berilmu" or knowledgeable city since 2008 as numerous universities are located here including the National University of Malaysia. The name of the town usually is abbreviated as "BBB". As of 2016, there are 16 town sections in the town. While not an official town section, the new township Kajang 2 is the latest extension to Bandar Baru Bangi due to its close proximity to Seksyen 5.

Balakong (Jawi: بالقوڠ; Chinese: 無拉港) or Cheras South (Jawi: چراس سلتن; Chinese: 蕉賴南區) is a township in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Located to the southeast of Greater Kuala Lumpur, the township consists mainly of residential condominiums, office complexes and factories. Notable landmarks in Balakong include AEON Mall Cheras Selatan and Sin Ann Meow Temple (星安庙).
