Doleham

Doleham railway station is a small, single-platform wayside halt in Doleham, East Sussex, England. It is on the Marshlink line, and train services are provided by Southern. The station is very isolated and serves only a handful of houses in the immediate area. There is an approximate daily figure of 8 passengers a day pre-covid.

Brede Pit and Cutting is a 0.6-hectare (1.5-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Brede in East Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site shows the junction between two formations in the Wealden Group, dating to the Early Cretaceous. It exposes the top 2 metres of the Ashdown Formation and the bottom 1.5 metres of the Wadhurst Clay Formation. The environments change from shallow fluvial to deeper lakes and lagoons and there are fossils of plants, fishes and reptiles.The site is private land with no public access.

Brede is a village and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. It is located eight miles (13 km) north of Hastings and four miles (6 km) west of Rye.

Three Oaks railway station serves the village of Three Oaks in East Sussex, England. It is on the Marshlink Line, and train services are provided by Southern. It was originally known as Three Oaks & Guestling.

Westfield is a village and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex. It is one of the largest villages in the area with a population of around 2,750. The village lies five miles (8 km) north of Hastings. It was known as Westewelle in the Domesday survey. The parish includes the linear hamlet of Kent Street along the A21 road. This spans 800 yards from Carpenter's Barn Farm at the southern end past Claverton Country House Hotel up to Sedlescombe Golf Club at the northern end. A prominent sight when entering the village from the south is the church dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Its many features include extensive buttressing, a 12th-century porch and a 14th-century font with an elaborate 17th-century cover. Above the door to the tower there is carved a Royal Coat of Arms with the list of vicars since 1250 set below. Looking towards the nave there is a Norman arch with squint windows to the side, cut through the 32 inches of stone. Another feature at the road entrance is the lychgate, with its four carved angels; this was added in 1887. The history of Westfield has been extensively researched by a resident of Westfield descended from a family who appear in the records from 1552. Westfield Football Club play in the Sussex County League Division Two.

Brede Waterworks (grid reference TQ 813 178) is a waterworks at Brede, East Sussex, England. It was built to supply Hastings with drinking water. The waterworks still houses two of the three stationary steam engines that were used to pump water from Brede to reservoirs at Fairlight and Baldslow.

Broad Oak is a small village in the Rother district, in eastern East Sussex, England, referred to also as Broad Oak Brede, as there is a village with the same name by Heathfield. In 2020 it had an estimated population of 883.

Buckswood School is a private school for boys and girls that was founded in 1933. Originally the school was situated in Uckfield and known as Buckswood Grange School. In 2000, it re-located to the village of Guestling between the towns of Rye and Hastings in East Sussex.

The Parish Church of St Laurence is a Church of England church and listed building in the village of Guestling in the Rother District of East Sussex. The church was founded in Saxon times, though the current building consists of a Norman tower and a nave and chancel which were originally 13th century but which were largely rebuilt between 1884 and 1891. It is listed as Grade I for the tower only.

Snailham Halt railway station was on the South Eastern Railway's route between Ashford and Hastings, nowadays known as the Marshlink Line. It opened in 1907 and closed in 1959.

Guestling is a village and civil parish in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. The village is located 3 miles (4.8 km) north-east of Hastings on the A259 road to Rye. Its parish church is dedicated to St Laurence.

The Hastings Academy, formerly known as Hillcrest, is a secondary school in Hastings, East Sussex, England. The Hastings Academy opened on 1 September 2011 moving into a new building during February 2013. The school has around 900 students and over 100 staff. The Principal is Mr Simon Addison. It is run by the University of Brighton Academies Trust.
