Heaton Chapel railway station

Heaton Chapel is an area in the northern part of Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire, it borders the Manchester districts of Levenshulme to the north, the Stockport districts of Heaton Moor to the west, Reddish and Heaton Norris to the east and Heaton Mersey to the west and south. Heaton Chapel and its neighbouring areas are collectively known as the Four Heatons.

St Anne's RC Voluntary Academy is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school located in Heaton Chapel, Stockport, England. It formally academised to join the Emmaus Catholic Multi-Academy Trust on 1 November 2020. In 2009, the school achieved arts (media) specialist school status. It is fed by St Winifred's RC Primary School in Heaton Mersey and St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Reddish, and in turn feeds Aquinas College, Stockport.

The Nursery Inn is a suburban pub at 258 Green Lane in Heaton Norris, Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. It was built in 1939 in a sub-Georgian design with a multi-room layout.It was CAMRA's National Pub of the Year for 2001.In 2011, it became a Grade II listed building.It is run by Hydes Brewery.

National Aircraft Factory No. 2 (NAF No.2) was a World War I UK government owned aircraft factory located at Heaton Chapel, Stockport. It produced over 450 warplanes during 1918/19. The Heaton Chapel factory was then sold to Crossley Motors, who used it for building motor vehicles. In 1934, it was sold to the Fairey Aviation Company, with aircraft production there continuing until the late 1950s.

Green Lane was a football ground in Stockport in England. It was the home ground of Stockport County between 1889 and 1902, and was used during the club's first two seasons in the Football League.

Within the boundaries of the historic county of Cheshire, it is one of the Four Heatons and borders Heaton Chapel, Heaton Norris and Heaton Mersey. Heaton Moor has Victorian housing, built between 1852 and 1892 along affluent tree-lined streets which follow the field patterns of a former agricultural economy.

Highfield Country Park is a 70-acre (280,000 m2) area of open land, situated on the east side of Levenshulme, Manchester, that stretches to the east of Broom Avenue across to the rear of Reddish Golf Course and to the junction of Longford Road, Reddish and Nelstrop Road, Levenshulme.Prior to 2004, the park was jointly maintained by Manchester City Council and a group of volunteers called The Friends of Highfield Park. In July 2004 the park came to the attention of the Prudential Grass Roots campaign (run by the BTCV conservation charity). Over a 12-month period the park was transformed from a dreary, vandalised wasteland into a country park with a picnic area and mapped out country walks.In 2008 Highfield Country Park was designated a Local Nature Reserve, providing a protected habitat for many animal and plant species.

Heaton Norris railway station was a railway station in Stockport, England, which opened in 1840 and closed in 1959.

Heaton Norris is a suburb of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. It is one of the Four Heatons, along with neighbours Heaton Chapel, Heaton Mersey and Heaton Moor. Originally within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire, part of Heaton Norris was annexed to the County Borough of Stockport in 1835; Heaton Chapel and Heaton Moor followed in 1894 and the remnant in 1913.

Christ Church consists of the remains of a redundant Anglican church at Wellington Road North, Heaton Norris, Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. Only the tower and part of the walls of the aisles survive. They are located on the crest of a hill on the main road linking Stockport with Manchester. The church remains are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building, and are under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

Broadstone Mill was a double cotton spinning mill on the eastern bank of the Stockport Branch Canal in Reddish, Stockport, Greater Manchester, in England. Construction of the twin mills commenced in 1903 and was completed in 1907. They closed in 1957, and the southern mill and engine houses were demolished in 1965. The northern block went into multiple usage. It is now part of the Houldsworth Village development. It is used as a centre for small businesses, and a shopping outlet.

Levenshulme South railway station in Levenshulme, Manchester, England, was on the Fallowfield Line, now a cycle path. History The station opened on 2 May 1892, originally as Levenshulme. It was renamed on 15 September 1952, closed to passenger traffic on 7 July 1958, and to freight in 1987. This was one of two stations in Levenshulme; the other, Levenshulme railway station, is still used today. Restoration of the building started in 2018 to turn it into Station South, a cycle cafe/bar and urban garden.
