Northorpe North Road railway station served the town of Northorpe, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, from 1891 to 1965 on the Spen Valley Line.

St Mary's Church is the main Church of England parish church for the town of Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. The current building is a large Gothic Revival structure designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, replacing an older structure, the tower of which still survives a short distance from the present building. These structures form Mirfield's most prominent landmark and both are listed for preservation by Historic England, the old church tower as Grade II and the present building as Grade II*.The church is notable for its Victorian architecture, medieval remains and a surviving 11th-century motte-and-bailey castle mound located within the grounds. The church has been on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2013 due to substantial works required to repair the building.

The Dewsbury Bus Museum is a museum in Ravensthorpe, West Yorkshire, England. Opened to the public in September 1989, it is owned and operated by the West Riding Omnibus Museum Trust, a registered charity, and is run entirely by volunteer effort.It is home to the only two surviving Guy Wulfrunian double deck buses and several other West Riding Automobile Company vehicles as well as others from Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co, Yorkshire Traction Company, West Yorkshire PTE, Huddersfield and Halifax Corporations and local independent J. Wood of Mirfield.

Mirfield Show is an annual agricultural show held at the Huddersfield Road Showground in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England on the third Sunday in August. It is organised and run by the Mirfield Agricultural Society (MAS) as a not-for-profit event and regularly attracts over 6,000 visitors each year from across Yorkshire.

Mirfield Town Hall is a former municipal building in Huddersfield Road in Mirfield, a town in West Yorkshire in England. The building, which was previously the offices and meeting place of the Mirfield Urban District Council, is now used as a worship hall by the Salvation Army.

Norristhorpe is a village in the township of Liversedge in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England, and is historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. Norristhorpe has a primary school, an Anglican church, and a United Reformed Church. A Methodist chapel, built in 1906, was closed in 2004 and is now a private house.

Hollybank was one of the first registered schools for disabled children to be built in the North of England. It is a registered charity and care home, specialising in caring for children with multiple and profound disabilities. Hollybank Trust was established in 1954 in Lindley, a suburb of Huddersfield in Yorkshire. Huddersfield is known for its central role at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, for being the birthplace of rugby league and birthplace of the former British Prime Minister, Harold Wilson. According to its website it employs over 500 full and part-time staff at locations across Yorkshire, in Mirfield, Halifax, Holmfirth, Barnsley and South Kirkby. Local Paralympian athlete Paul Cartwright, is ambassador for the Hollybank School, which he attended as a boy. Paul represented Great Britain at the 1984 Stoke Mandeville Paralympic Games in 100m, 200m, 400m sprint, and the marathon.
