Castle Hall Academy (formerly Castle Hall School) is a mixed 11–16 Academy in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. The school has been awarded specialist Language College status. 174 pupils at age 11 are taken in annually. Preference is given to those who live within the catchment area.

Crowlees Junior and Infant School is a voluntary controlled primary co-educational day school that educates around 420 children aged 5–11. Mirfield Show is an annual agricultural show held at the Huddersfield Road Showground in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England on the third Sunday in August. It is organised and run by the Mirfield Agricultural Society (MAS) as a not-for-profit event and regularly attracts over 6,000 visitors each year from across Yorkshire.

Mirfield Town Hall is a former municipal building in Huddersfield Road in Mirfield, a town in West Yorkshire in England. The building, which was previously the offices and meeting place of the Mirfield Urban District Council, is now used as a worship hall by the Salvation Army.

St Mary's Church is the main Church of England parish church for the town of Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. The current building is a large Gothic Revival structure designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, replacing an older structure, the tower of which still survives a short distance from the present building. These structures form Mirfield's most prominent landmark and both are listed for preservation by Historic England, the old church tower as Grade II and the present building as Grade II*.The church is notable for its Victorian architecture, medieval remains and a surviving 11th-century motte-and-bailey castle mound located within the grounds. The church has been on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2013 due to substantial works required to repair the building.

Hollybank was one of the first registered schools for disabled children to be built in the North of England. It is a registered charity and care home, specialising in caring for children with multiple and profound disabilities. Hollybank Trust was established in 1954 in Lindley, a suburb of Huddersfield in Yorkshire. Huddersfield is known for its central role at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, for being the birthplace of rugby league and birthplace of the former British Prime Minister, Harold Wilson. According to its website it employs over 500 full and part-time staff at locations across Yorkshire, in Mirfield, Halifax, Holmfirth, Barnsley and South Kirkby. Local Paralympian athlete Paul Cartwright, is ambassador for the Hollybank School, which he attended as a boy. Paul represented Great Britain at the 1984 Stoke Mandeville Paralympic Games in 100m, 200m, 400m sprint, and the marathon.

Mirfield railway station serves the town of Mirfield in West Yorkshire, England. It lies on the Huddersfield Line managed by Northern and by Grand Central and recently it has been served by TransPennine Express. The station is 4 miles (6 km) north east from Huddersfield. The platforms have an unusual configuration. Platforms 1 and 2 form an island platform on the western side of the bridge over Station Road/Hopton New Road. Trains from Platform 1 go to Leeds and Wakefield Westgate (eastbound); Platform 2 is rarely used for normal scheduled services but is passed by non-stopping westbound trains to Huddersfield. Platform 3 is a side platform on the eastern side of the bridge; trains are towards Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford Interchange and Brighouse (westbound). The train to Leeds takes around 25 minutes and to reach Huddersfield takes around 10 minutes.

Ledgard Bridge crosses the River Calder in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. It was built in 1800 as a replacement for an earlier bridge in the same location and is a Grade II listed structure.

The Mirfield Free Grammar (also known as the MFG) and sixth form is a secondary school in the town of Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. Patrick Stewart was a student at the MFG and, in September 2011, he opened the school as an academy. The school was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in both 2008 and 2012.In 2013 a new extension was added to the sports centre which included a state-of-the-art Dance Studio and Gym.The school underwent major renovations that were completed by September 2014, they included a brand new Music, Drama and DT classrooms, as well as a redeveloped quad area with ramp access for students that required the permanent demolition of existing buildings.
