Harewood Park

Harewood is a civil parish in Herefordshire, England. It is approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of the city and county town of Hereford and 4 miles (6 km) northwest of the market town of Ross-on-Wye. Within Harewood is the rural estate of Harewood Park, owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. The parish is part of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Harewood is represented by one councillor on the ten-member Llanwarne & District Group Parish Council The parish is linked by bus at Harewood End to Hereford and Gloucester, with services provided by Stagecoach West. The closest National Rail station is at Hereford on the Welsh Marches Line, 6 miles (10 km) to the north.

Llandinabo is a hamlet and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, and approximately six miles north-west of Ross-on-Wye. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 59. The placename is Welsh and means "church of St Junabius".

Hoarwithy is a small village in the civil parish of Hentland, and on the River Wye in Herefordshire, England. It is known for its church of St Catherine built in an Italian Romanesque style with detached campanile. The church, on a steep hillside above the village was built to a design by J. P. Seddon by William Poole, the wealthy Vicar of Hentland in the 1870s. The village has one public house, the New Harp Inn, which is adjacent to the River Wye.

Hentland is a hamlet and civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) north-west of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire, England. The small hamlet settlement of Hentland at the east of the parish contains the parish church of St Dubricius. The civil parish, bounded on its eastern side by the River Wye, also includes the villages of Hoarwithy and St Owen's Cross, and the hamlets of Gillow, Kynaston, Little Pengethley, Llanfrother and Red Rail. The area is mostly farmland, with a small proportion being woodland. The soil consists of red loam, with a subsoil of rock and clay. The name 'Hentland' derives from the Old Welsh Hên-llan, meaning "old church-enclosure". Hentland is the site of an early Welsh monastery, built by Saint Dubricius in the 6th century, which probably stood in the field just south of the present parish church, and is a place for Saint Dubricius' pilgrimage. Gillow Manor is a 14th-century manor house with part of its moat still surviving; in the Middle Ages it was one of the homes of the Pembridge family of Herefordshire. Hall Court Farm is a Grade II listed half timbered house at Kynaston dating from the early 1600s.

Designed in an Italian Romanesque style by the architect John Pollard Seddon for the Revd William Poole, vicar of Hentland with Hoarwithy, it is a Grade I listed building.

Much Birch is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. The parish includes the settlements of Kings Thorn, Much Birch and parts of Wormelow. The village extends for about 1.5 miles (2 km) along the A49, a busy trunk road running from the border with South Wales to North West England. The church of St Mary and St Thomas of Canterbury by Thomas Foster dates from 1837. The chancel ceiling is painted with cherubs peeping over clouds.
