J. O. Combs Unified School District

KZON (103.9 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Gilbert, Arizona, and broadcasting to the Phoenix metropolitan area. It simulcasts a Rhythmic Hot AC radio format with co-owned KMVA 97.5 FM Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona, as "Hot 97.5/103.9." The stations are owned by the Riviera Broadcast Group with studios on 7th Street in Midtown Phoenix. KZON is a Class C station. It has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations. The transmitter is on East Ocotillo Road at North Schnepf Road in San Tan Valley, Arizona. KZON is also heard on two FM translators: 94.9 MHz in Chandler and 96.1 MHz in Fort McDowell.

Combs High School is a high school in San Tan Valley, Arizona. It is the only high school in the J.O. Combs Unified School District. It has arts, theater, orchestra, and band departments. The J.O. Combs district community had to approve a unification vote in November 2006 for the district to be able to teach high school students.In 2009 it opened its doors with Brenda Mayberry as the principal. The first graduating class was the class of 2012.

Queen Creek is a town in Maricopa and Pinal counties, Arizona, United States. The population was 59,519 as of the 2020 census, up from 26,361 at the 2010 census. It is a suburb of Phoenix, located in the far southeast area of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Earlier this year, a large battery factory was scheduled for 2025.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 20615 East Ocotillo Road near the intersection of South Ellsworth Loop Road in Queen Creek, Arizona, was the first Roman Catholic Church in the town. It was completed in the late 1980s. The parish's original church sits at 20536 Octotillo, across from the current grounds. The parish was first organized in the late 1940s to serve Mexican-Americans who began moving to the area in the late 1920s and early 1930s. At first, they met in old barracks buildings courtesy of the school district, which had bought them from Williams Air Force Base for classrooms, a cafeteria, and an auditorium. The visiting priest would hold mass and hear confessions in the auditorium, and nuns used the classrooms in the summer for catechism classes. Wanting their own building, the congregation started a building fund in 1960, raising money by selling homemade goods. The people of the congregation built the new church, and another wooden barracks was obtained from the base and moved next to it. In 1975, the church building was deemed to be unsafe, and the insurance company refused to renew its policy. Another fund-raising effort led to property being purchased across the street in 1988 for a new church.

San Tan Foothills High School is a high school in San Tan Valley, Arizona. It is one of three high schools under the jurisdiction of the Florence Unified School District as of July 1, 2016.

Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) is a school district based in Queen Creek, Arizona, United States. It was formed in 1947 from land once part of the Higley Unified School District (at the time, neither district was unified; Queen Creek High School would not open until 1967).

San Tan Mountain Regional Park is a large rural/suburban park located in Pinal County. Although the park is administered by Maricopa County Parks, it is located within Pinal County. It encompasses over 10,000 acres and preserves a portion of the San Tan Mountains, south of Queen Creek.

Canyon State Academy is a private residential school serving male youth between the ages of 11–17 with a history of delinquent behaviors, dependent/neglectful backgrounds, mild mental and emotional health issues, and special education needs. Situated in Queen Creek, Arizona, its 180-acre campus includes a variety of programs, from temporary shelter to long-term residence. It is managed by Rite of Passage, which provides a variety of programs and services to at-risk youth throughout the nation. The school is a member of the Canyon Athletic Association.
