KZON (103.9 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Gilbert, Arizona, and broadcasting to the Phoenix metropolitan area. It simulcasts a Rhythmic Hot AC radio format with co-owned KMVA 97.5 FM Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona, as "Hot 97.5/103.9." The stations are owned by the Riviera Broadcast Group with studios on 7th Street in Midtown Phoenix. KZON is a Class C station. It has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations. The transmitter is on East Ocotillo Road at North Schnepf Road in San Tan Valley, Arizona. KZON is also heard on two FM translators: 94.9 MHz in Chandler and 96.1 MHz in Fort McDowell.

The J. O. Combs Unified School District is a public school district in Pinal County, Arizona in San Tan Valley. The district also serves a small part of eastern Queen Creek, Arizona located within Pinal County. Dr. Gregory A. Wyman, superintendent of the school district, announced the closing of its schools for Monday, August 17, 2020, including virtual learning, due to insufficient staffing. Reuters reported that Wyman "received an overwhelming response from staff indicating that they do not feel safe returning to classrooms with students", and that other schools, in "Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama closed this week as students and staff were infected with COVID-19".

It is located in the Eastmark master-planned community on the site of the former Mesa General Motors proving grounds. Its cross streets are Ray Road between Ellsworth Road and Signal Butte Road.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 20615 East Ocotillo Road near the intersection of South Ellsworth Loop Road in Queen Creek, Arizona, was the first Roman Catholic Church in the town. It was completed in the late 1980s. The parish's original church sits at 20536 Octotillo, across from the current grounds. The parish was first organized in the late 1940s to serve Mexican-Americans who began moving to the area in the late 1920s and early 1930s. At first, they met in old barracks buildings courtesy of the school district, which had bought them from Williams Air Force Base for classrooms, a cafeteria, and an auditorium. The visiting priest would hold mass and hear confessions in the auditorium, and nuns used the classrooms in the summer for catechism classes. Wanting their own building, the congregation started a building fund in 1960, raising money by selling homemade goods. The people of the congregation built the new church, and another wooden barracks was obtained from the base and moved next to it. In 1975, the church building was deemed to be unsafe, and the insurance company refused to renew its policy. Another fund-raising effort led to property being purchased across the street in 1988 for a new church.

Canyon State Academy is a private residential school serving male youth between the ages of 11–17 with a history of delinquent behaviors, dependent/neglectful backgrounds, mild mental and emotional health issues, and special education needs. Situated in Queen Creek, Arizona, its 180-acre campus includes a variety of programs, from temporary shelter to long-term residence. It is managed by Rite of Passage, which provides a variety of programs and services to at-risk youth throughout the nation. The school is a member of the Canyon Athletic Association.
