Kilambakkam

Urapakkam railway station is one of the railway stations of the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It serves the neighbourhood of Urapakkam, a suburb of Chennai. It is situated at a distance of 37 km (23 mi) from Chennai Beach junction and is located on NH 45 in Urapakkam, with an elevation of 29 m (95 ft) above sea level.

Urapakkam is a southern suburb of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is in Kanchipuram district. Kilambakkam Bus Terminus, officially Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus, is a bus terminus in Kilambakkam, a southern suburb of Chennai, India. Situated along the GST Road, it became operational on 30 December 2023. Spread over an area of 88.52 acres (358,200 m2), it was built to decongest the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus in Koyambedu. It is an integrated bus terminus for mofussil buses operated by TNSTC, SETC, KSRTC, KSRTC SWIFT and contract carriage buses. The terminus is connected to other parts of the Chennai Metropolitan Area and suburbs by MTC buses.

Gold Souk Grandé is a shopping mall, in the city of Chennai, India. The project was unveiled in April 2009 by actress Shobana. It is located next to Crescent Engineering College in Chennai and will be operational by first quarter of 2015. This is creating a record for itself by becoming the longest project in gestation period and construction period. Spread in the total built up area of 800,000 sq ft (74,000 m2), the mall will have five floors with gross leasable (retail) area of 600,000 sq ft (56,000 m2) dedicated to hypermarket, anchors, vanilla brands, multiplex, food court, QSR and Ramada Hotel.The mall is part of the Gold Souk chain of malls located throughout India and is a brand of Gurgaon-based retail and property developer, Aerens Gold Souk Group. B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, formerly B. S. Abdur Rahman University, is a private deemed university located in Tamil Nadu, India. Previously, functioning under University of Madras (1984–2001) and Anna University (2001–09) as Crescent Engineering College, the institute gained deemed status in 2008–09. It is located in Vandalur near Tambaram and opposite to Arignar Anna Zoological Park, a suburban area of Chennai, India.

Arignar Anna Zoological Park (abbreviated AAZP), also known as the Vandalur Zoo, is a zoological garden located in Vandalur, to southwest of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, about 31 kilometres (19 mi) from the Chennai Central and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Chennai Airport. Established in 1855, it is the first public zoo in India. It is affiliated with the Central Zoo Authority of India. Spread over an area of 602 hectares (1,490 acres), including a 92.45-hectare (228.4-acre) rescue and rehabilitation centre, the park is the largest zoological park in India. The zoo houses 2,553 species of flora and fauna across 1,265 acres (512 ha). As of 2012 the park houses around 1,500 wild species, including 46 endangered species, in its 160 enclosures. As of 2010, there were about 47 species of mammals, 63 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles, 5 species of amphibians, 28 species of fishes, and 10 species of insects in the park. The park, with an objective to be a repository of the state's fauna, is credited with being the second wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu after Mudumalai National Park.

Vandalur is a census town and taluk headquarters in the Chengalpattu district lying south of the metropolitan city of Chennai, India. Vandalur serves as the southern gateway to Chennai city. It has the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, which contain some rare species of wild flora and fauna. The town is served by Vandalur railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway network.

Dhandeeswarar Temple (Shri Dhandeeswarar Temple) is a Shiva temple situated in Velachery, a suburb of Chennai. The temple was built during the Pallava reign and was repaired and rebuilt during the Chola reign. The temple complex consists of a main temple complex and a tank, and is 2 kilometers towards the east from Guru Nanak College on the Velachery main road. Mannivakkam is a town near Chennai Metropolitan City in the Indian state of Tamil-Nadu India. Mannivakkam lies between Vandalur and Mudichur, 7.5 kilometers from Tambaram and 2 kilometers from Vandalur. Mannivakkam is listed in CMDA's Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA) master plan as village number 1 under Kattankolathur Panchayat Union. The town is well connected with industrial areas such as Oragadam and Sriperambadur by road and also with Maraimalai Nagar and Mahindra World City, Chennai by road as well as suburban railways.
