St. Columba's Church (Hopewell Junction, New York)

Hopewell Junction is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 1330 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Hopewell Junction is located within the town of East Fishkill. It was originally a railroad junction where the Newburgh, Dutchess and Connecticut Railroad met the New York and New England Railroad and Dutchess County Railroad. All three became part of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad system, and the ND&C to the southwest and the NY&NE are now owned by the Housatonic Railroad and used by Metro-North for equipment moves between its Hudson Line and Harlem Line. The last remaining section of passenger line, a branch from Pine Plains, south through Milbrook, to Hopewell Junction, to Beacon, lost its passenger service at some point between 1932 and 1938. The closest passenger facility is Beacon station on Metro-North's Hudson Line. Today, Hopewell Junction sits astride the bike/walk Empire State Trail where it is the juncture between the Dutchess Rail Trail running west to the Walkway Over the Hudson at Poughkeepsie, New York and the more recently constructed Maybrook Trailway winding through the hills to Brewster, New York to almost meet the Putnam County Trailway and its continuations to New York City. It was ranked #31 on Money magazine's "Most Desirable Places to Live" for 2005.

East Fishkill is a town on the southern border of Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 29,707 at the 2020 census. The town was once the eastern portion of the town of Fishkill. Hudson Valley Research Park is located in the town. The site once known as IBM East Fishkill, once housed 27 divisions and 4,700 regular employees for IBM Microelectronics, which later became a part of GlobalFoundries. IBM produced microchips at this facility and it also house the advanced, automated processor fabrication facility where IBM's "Cell" processor was co-developed. The fab's current owner is Onsemi.

Bykenhulle, originally known as Ivy Hall, is a historic house located on Bykenhulle Road near the hamlet of Hopewell Junction, New York, United States, in the Town of East Fishkill. It is a wooden house in the Greek Revival architectural style. First built in the middle of the 19th century by a member of the locally prominent Adriance family, it was originally the center of a large farmstead. By the early 20th century the failing farm was subdivided, leaving the house on a smaller lot. A later set of owners bought it for use as a country retreat and renamed it after the original Dutch spelling of their name. They renovated and restored the house with the intent of preserving its historic character. It retains enough despite the much newer residential construction around it that, in 1991, it and two of its outbuildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently it is used as a bed and breakfast.

Hillside Lake is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 1,084 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area.

The Storm–Adriance–Brinckerhoff House is located on Beekman Road (Dutchess County Route 9) in East Fishkill, New York, United States. It is a wooden building in three parts, the oldest of which dates to the mid-18th century. Some of its inhabitants have been among the prominent residents of the county, and the state. Thomas Storm, a captain in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, later served as the state Assembly Speaker. He had George Washington as a guest one night. Members of the Brinckerhoff family, longtime inhabitants of the area, lived in the house until 1930. The house is considered an excellent, well-preserved example of Dutch Colonial architecture. Its modifications and additions reflect changing tastes over the time it was within the Storm family. In 2008 it, along with several other structures on the property, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been described as "the most historically significant house" in East Fishkill because of the Washington connection.

There was formerly a town of Shenandoah in Oneida County, New York.Shenandoah is a community in East Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. It is near Interstate 84, the Taconic State Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail. The former Shenandoah Service Area on the Taconic Parkway is named for this community.

Jackson Creek is an 11.0-mile-long (17.7 km) tributary of Sprout Creek in Dutchess County, New York. Via Sprout Creek and Fishkill Creek, water from Jackson Creek flows to the Hudson River. Jackson Creek's subwatershed covers 5,524 acres (22.35 km2) of land.

Myers Corner is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 6,790 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Myers Corner is in the town of Wappinger on County Route 93 and County Route 94. Myers Corners School is also located here.

St. Denis Church is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Hopewell Junction, Dutchess County, New York. It was established in 1899 as a parish; it was established a mission of St. Mary in Wappingers Falls in 1874 until being elevated in a parish in 1899.

Mid-Hudson Islamic Association (Masjid Al-Noor Arabic: مسجد النور) is an Islamic Association located at Masjid Al-Noor in Wappingers Falls, NY, United States. The group was founded in the 1980s in response to a large addition of Muslim families in the Hudson River Valley. The group originally met in their own homes for prayers and social/religious events. In 1990, they opened a mosque that provided prayer space, an educational Sunday school, and community services. The building has three stories - the men's prayer hall is located on the ground floor, and the women's prayer balcony is on the second floor overlooking the main prayer hall. The basement of the mosque serves as a community hall. A small minaret was added to the north side of the building sometime after the original construction.

Brinckerhoff is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 2,900 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Brinckerhoff is in the northeastern corner of the town of Fishkill, northeast of the village of Fishkill.

Beekman Meeting House and Friends' Cemetery is located on Emans Road in LaGrangeville, New York, United States. The meeting house is a wooden building from the early 19th century that has been unused and vacant for decades. As a result, it is in an advanced state of decay, and mostly collapsed. The cemetery, better preserved, is located a short distance away. The meeting house was built in 1809 for a meeting that split off from another one in the nearby hamlet of Oswego. After the Hicksite-Orthodox schism in 1828, it was one of only two meetings in the county to embrace Orthodox Quakerism. After that meeting dissolved in the early 20th century, it was for a time a Grange hall. It and its nearby cemetery were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
