Merritt Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Fishkill in Dutchess County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 1,256.The CDP is located in the eastern part of the town of Fishkill in southwestern Dutchess County. It is bordered to the west by the village of Fishkill, to the north by Fishkill Creek, to the southeast by 904-foot (276 m) Honness Mountain, and to the northeast by New York State Route 52. Merritt Boulevard is the main thoroughfare through the community, connecting NY 52 to the northeast with U.S. Route 9 in the southern part of Fishkill village.

The Van Wyck Homestead Museum or Van Wyck-Wharton House (pronounced Van Wike) is an early 18th-century Dutch colonial house in the Town of Fishkill, New York, United States of America. It served as a headquarters to a major military supply depot during the American Revolutionary War and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 13, 1972; the adjoining Fishkill Supply Depot Site has been listed on the NRHP since January 21, 1974. It is located on US 9 just south of Interstate 84. Excavations during the construction of a nearby gas station and the Dutchess Mall in the early 1970s unearthed many artifacts at the site, particularly materiel.

Fishkill is a village within the town of Fishkill in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The village is in the eastern part of the town of Fishkill on U.S. Route 9. It is north of Interstate 84. NY 52 is the main street. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. The first U. S. Post Office in New York state was established in Fishkill by Samuel Loudon, its first Postmaster.

The Fishkill Village District is a federally recognized historic district in that New York community. It is roughly defined as Main Street (NY 52) between Cary and Hopewell streets. Of the 108 buildings within this district, those that are contributing properties date from between the late 18th century to the late 19th century. A variety of architectural styles are represented, but predominant among them are several Greek Revival buildings.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Dutchess Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in Fishkill, New York. The mall was demolished and replaced with a Home Depot except for the Jamesway and Service Merchandise buildings. The former Service Merchandise building was home to a flea market until the mid-2000s but now sits vacant and empty. At some point in the mid-2000s, the Dutchess Marketplace Flea Market move to the former Jamesway building, although it closed at the end of 2019. A new campus for Dutchess Community College moved into the Jamesway space and opened in August 2021. That portion of the property is still owned by J.W. May's.

Myers Corner is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 6,790 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Myers Corner is in the town of Wappinger on County Route 93 and County Route 94. Myers Corners School is also located here.

The Church of St. Mary, Mother of the Church is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. It was originally established as a mission of St. Joachim (Beacon, New York) in 1861, and elevated to parish status in 1953.

Fishkill is a town in the southwestern part of Dutchess County, New York, United States. It lies approximately 60 miles (97 km) north of New York City. The population was 22,107 at the 2010 census. Fishkill surrounds the city of Beacon, and contains a village, which is also named Fishkill. The name Fishkill derives from the Dutch words vis kill, meaning "fish creek". The location of Fishkill was known as Tioranda by the Native American peoples. The name means "The place where two waters meet". Fishkill is one of the nine original towns in Dutchess County, and is best known today for its rich history dating to the American Revolutionary War period and scenic views of the Hudson Highlands.

Roy C. Ketcham High School, more informally Ketcham High School or RCK, is a public secondary school under jurisdiction of the Wappingers Central School District. Located in Wappinger Falls, New York, United States, the school serves approximately 1,600 students in grades nine through twelve residing in the southwest of Dutchess County. Their mascot is the Ketcham Indian.

Wappinger is a town in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The town is located in the Hudson River Valley region, on the eastern bank of the Hudson River. The population was 28,216 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from the Wappinger Native Americans who inhabited the area. Wappinger comprises three-fourths of the incorporated village of Wappingers Falls, several unincorporated hamlets such as Chelsea, Diddell, Hughsonville, Middlebush, Myers Corners, New Hackensack, and Swartwoutville, and a number of neighborhoods.

Formerly the Wappingers Falls Village Hall this building now houses the Police Department. It is located at the corner of South Avenue (NY 9D) and East Main Street in the village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York.

Bald Hill is a hill located on the Hudson Highlands in Dutchess County, New York. It has an elevation of 1,499 feet (457 m). The hill is one of two peaks—Lamb's Hill is the other—located on the Fishkill Ridge Trail in Hudson Highlands State Park.
