Brinckerhoff is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 2,900 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Brinckerhoff is in the northeastern corner of the town of Fishkill, northeast of the village of Fishkill.

Merritt Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Fishkill in Dutchess County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 1,256.The CDP is located in the eastern part of the town of Fishkill in southwestern Dutchess County. It is bordered to the west by the village of Fishkill, to the north by Fishkill Creek, to the southeast by 904-foot (276 m) Honness Mountain, and to the northeast by New York State Route 52. Merritt Boulevard is the main thoroughfare through the community, connecting NY 52 to the northeast with U.S. Route 9 in the southern part of Fishkill village.

East Fishkill is a town on the southern border of Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 29,707 at the 2020 census. The town was once the eastern portion of the town of Fishkill. Hudson Valley Research Park is located in the town. The site once known as IBM East Fishkill, once housed 27 divisions and 4,700 regular employees for IBM Microelectronics, which later became a part of GlobalFoundries. IBM produced microchips at this facility and it also house the advanced, automated processor fabrication facility where IBM's "Cell" processor was co-developed. The fab's current owner is Onsemi.

Hopewell Junction is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 1330 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Hopewell Junction is located within the town of East Fishkill. It was originally a railroad junction where the Newburgh, Dutchess and Connecticut Railroad met the New York and New England Railroad and Dutchess County Railroad. All three became part of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad system, and the ND&C to the southwest and the NY&NE are now owned by the Housatonic Railroad and used by Metro-North for equipment moves between its Hudson Line and Harlem Line. The last remaining section of passenger line, a branch from Pine Plains, south through Milbrook, to Hopewell Junction, to Beacon, lost its passenger service at some point between 1932 and 1938. The closest passenger facility is Beacon station on Metro-North's Hudson Line. Today, Hopewell Junction sits astride the bike/walk Empire State Trail where it is the juncture between the Dutchess Rail Trail running west to the Walkway Over the Hudson at Poughkeepsie, New York and the more recently constructed Maybrook Trailway winding through the hills to Brewster, New York to almost meet the Putnam County Trailway and its continuations to New York City. It was ranked #31 on Money magazine's "Most Desirable Places to Live" for 2005.

Myers Corner is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 6,790 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Myers Corner is in the town of Wappinger on County Route 93 and County Route 94. Myers Corners School is also located here.

The Van Wyck Homestead Museum or Van Wyck-Wharton House (pronounced Van Wike) is an early 18th-century Dutch colonial house in the Town of Fishkill, New York, United States of America. It served as a headquarters to a major military supply depot during the American Revolutionary War and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 13, 1972; the adjoining Fishkill Supply Depot Site has been listed on the NRHP since January 21, 1974. It is located on US 9 just south of Interstate 84. Excavations during the construction of a nearby gas station and the Dutchess Mall in the early 1970s unearthed many artifacts at the site, particularly materiel.

There was formerly a town of Shenandoah in Oneida County, New York.Shenandoah is a community in East Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. It is near Interstate 84, the Taconic State Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail. The former Shenandoah Service Area on the Taconic Parkway is named for this community.

Fishkill is a village within the town of Fishkill in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The village is in the eastern part of the town of Fishkill on U.S. Route 9. It is north of Interstate 84. NY 52 is the main street. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. The first U. S. Post Office in New York state was established in Fishkill by Samuel Loudon, its first Postmaster.

Dutchess Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in Fishkill, New York. The mall was demolished and replaced with a Home Depot except for the Jamesway and Service Merchandise buildings. The former Service Merchandise building was home to a flea market until the mid-2000s but now sits vacant and empty. At some point in the mid-2000s, the Dutchess Marketplace Flea Market move to the former Jamesway building, although it closed at the end of 2019. A new campus for Dutchess Community College moved into the Jamesway space and opened in August 2021. That portion of the property is still owned by J.W. May's.

The Fishkill Village District is a federally recognized historic district in that New York community. It is roughly defined as Main Street (NY 52) between Cary and Hopewell streets. Of the 108 buildings within this district, those that are contributing properties date from between the late 18th century to the late 19th century. A variety of architectural styles are represented, but predominant among them are several Greek Revival buildings.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Mid-Hudson Islamic Association (Masjid Al-Noor Arabic: مسجد النور) is an Islamic Association located at Masjid Al-Noor in Wappingers Falls, NY, United States. The group was founded in the 1980s in response to a large addition of Muslim families in the Hudson River Valley. The group originally met in their own homes for prayers and social/religious events. In 1990, they opened a mosque that provided prayer space, an educational Sunday school, and community services. The building has three stories - the men's prayer hall is located on the ground floor, and the women's prayer balcony is on the second floor overlooking the main prayer hall. The basement of the mosque serves as a community hall. A small minaret was added to the north side of the building sometime after the original construction.
