Riverbanks Center

Barangka is an administrative division of Marikina, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an urban barangay part of the 1st district of Marikina and is one of the oldest barangays in Marikina. Located along the southwestern border of Marikina, with the Marikina–Infanta Highway and A. Bonifacio Avenue, which serve as thoroughfares connecting Quezon City and Marikina, and with the municipalities of San Mateo and Rodriguez (Montalban) in Rizal to the east, Barangka is considered to be a gateway for people going to and from Metro Manila and Rizal. It is bordered on the west by barangay Loyola Heights in Quezon City; to the south by barangays Industrial Valley and Calumpang; to the east by barangay Tañong; and to the north by Loyola Grand Villas.

The Marikina River Park is a system of parks, trails, open spaces and recreation facilities along an 11-kilometer (6.8 mi) stretch of the Marikina River in Marikina, eastern Metro Manila, Philippines. The urban riverside park covers an area of 220 hectares (540 acres) running through the villages of Santo Niño, Santa Elena, Jesus de la Peña, San Roque, Calumpang, Barangka and Industrial Valley Complex in the western part of the city. The park, under development since 1993, is the city's biggest recreational and sports area containing the Riverbanks Center, a mall and office complex, and the biggest roller skating rink in the Philippines. It is a popular area for camping, jogging, biking and other outdoor activities not just for Marikina residents but also for those from nearby cities in Metro Manila.

The Marikina Valley Fault System, also known as the Valley Fault System (VFS), is a dominantly right-lateral strike-slip fault system in Luzon, Philippines. It extends from Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan in the north and runs through the provinces of Rizal, and the Metro Manila cities of Quezon, Marikina, Pasig, Makati, Taguig and Muntinlupa, and the provinces of Cavite and Laguna that ends in Canlubang.

SM City Marikina is a shopping mall owned and managed by SM Prime Holdings, and is located in Calumpang, Marikina, Philippines. As part of the chain of SM Supermalls, the mall is owned by Henry Sy, Sr. Upon completion in 2008, it is the 31st SM Supermall built in the Philippines, the 14th SM Mall built within Metro Manila, and 3rd among other SM malls to open in the eastern region of Metropolitan Manila, after SM Megamall in Mandaluyong and SM Center Pasig in Pasig. It is also the first SM Mall along Marcos Highway before SM City Masinag as well as SM Cherry Antipolo. SM City Marikina is located near Marikina River and Riverbanks Center. It is situated along Marcos Highway, Calumpang, Marikina. This mall has a total of 60,000 square meter land area and a total of 124,877.85 square meter gross floor area, make it as the largest single building shopping mall along Marcos Highway and considered one of the largest structures within the Marikina Valley. SM City Marikina was opened to the public on September 5, 2008, with opening ceremonies headed by then MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, and his wife, then Mayor of Marikina Marides Fernando, and attended by other city officials, as well as Sy and other SM executives.

The Marcos Bridge is a road bridge that connects the Barangays of Calumpang and Barangka in Marikina in Metro Manila, Philippines The bridge is part of the Marcos Highway (Marikina–Infanta Highway). It consists of an inner bridge and an outer bridge. The outer bridge was constructed in 2008 with the construction of the SM City Marikina which also doubled as an access road to and from the mall. The length of the inner bridge from its two abutments is 341.65 meters (1,120.9 ft), while the outer bridge is at 426.21 m (1,398.3 ft). The outer bridge have 2 westbound lanes in total and a junction at the Calumpang side of the bridge connects to the nearby Macapagal Bridge. A separate but unconnected rail bridge of the Manila Light Rail Transit System's Line 2 line exists parallel to the road bridge. The rail bridge that runs beside the road bridge was constructed by the Hanjin-Itochu Consortium and has a length of 363.39 meters (1,192.2 ft) and a width of 9.4 meters (31 ft). According to a December 2013 report by JICA, the Marcos Bridge has a high traffic volume of Jeepneys, with 6 thousand vehicles crossing the bridge daily.On April 30, 2019, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced the rehabilitation of the Marcos Bridge. The rehabilitation started on May 25, 2019, resulting in closure of the eastbound section that was first rehabilitated, followed by the westbound section four months later. The rehabilitation was finished on October 31, 2019, and the bridge was fully reopened on the same day. The bridge can now withstand a magnitude 7.2 earthquake.

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a volunteer-based, non-government organization whose goal is to prevent animal cruelty through education, animal sheltering and advocacy, based in Quezon City, Philippines. PAWS believes that the creation of a more peaceful society starts with the widening of mankind's circle of compassion which includes animals, thereby envisions a nation that respects animals, practices responsible pet ownership and protects wildlife. The volunteer-based organization rehabilitates these animals in the hope of finding them new homes and a second chance at a good life. PAWS does not take in pets of other people, but only victims of cruelty or neglect where the animal offenders are charged with violation of the Animal Welfare Act in court.

Calumpang (Tagalog: Kalumpang) is one of the barangays of Marikina. It is bounded to the north by Barangay Tanong, west by Barangay Barangka, south by Santolan, Pasig and east by Barangay San Roque. It is named after a wild almond, Sterculia foetida.

The Manila Observatory is a non-profit research institute housed on the campus of the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Philippines. It was founded by the Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits, in 1865 as the Observatorio Meteorológico del Ateneo Municipal de Manila. It was later renamed Observatorio Meteorológico de Manila. It has done weather forecasting and earthquake research and today researches seismic and geomagnetic phenomena as well as radio and solar physics.

The Blue Eagle Gym is a gymnasium located in the main campus of the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Philippines. Unlike most gymnasiums, the basketball court is oriented perpendicular to the orientation of the building.

Katipunan Avenue (Filipino: Abenida Katipunan) is a major avenue in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs in a north–south direction from the University of the Philippines Diliman, intersecting with Tandang Sora Avenue at its northernmost point, down to the Manila Philippines Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, intersecting with White Plains Avenue at its southernmost point. The avenue is named after the Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangan, Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (KKK).The road is a component of National Route 11 (N11) and National Route 129 (N129) of the Philippine highway network, respectively, and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) of Manila's arterial road network. The avenue has three lanes each way in most sections, widening to four in select areas, and narrowing to two lanes within Barangays White Plains and Saint Ignatius. An extension project, shelved by the government for the last six decades due to failed negotiations with private entities, has been revived by the Department of Public Works and Highways to address worsening traffic situations along Katipunan and Commonwealth Avenue, as well as Batasan–San Mateo Road. As of February 2021, the project is 70% complete.

Canossa Academy of Lipa City in Batangas, Philippines. It is one of the four schools owned and administered by the Canossian Sisters. These sisters belong to the religious congregation called the Canossian Daughters of Charity, which originated in Verona, Italy and whose members are spread all over the world. They came to the Philippines in 1954 from the Canossian Province of Hongkong to open apostolic mission where they are needed. They opened a school in Sta. Rosa, Laguna in 1954, San Pablo City in 1955 and Calamba, Laguna in 1964.
