Mongleath (Cornish: Mongleudh) is a hamlet in the parish of Budock, Cornwall, England.

Falmouth Town Association Football Club is a football club based in Falmouth, Cornwall, United Kingdom. They are currently members of the Western League Premier Division and play at Bickland Park. The club were the first Cornish team to reach the first round proper of the FA Cup, which they have done on three occasions; 1962–63, 1967–68 and 1969–70.

Penjerrick Garden -- often referred to as "Cornwall's true jungle garden"—lies between Budock Water and Mawnan Smith, near Falmouth, United Kingdom. Established in the early 19th century by Robert Were Fox F.R.S. and his children, Anna Maria, Barclay and Caroline (R. W. Fox's brother, Charles was responsible for the Garden at Trebah and his brother, Alfred, for the garden at Glendurgan), the 15-acre (61,000 m2), sub-tropical, spring-flowering garden has views of Budock Water and a considerable historical and botanical interest. The founders planted the upper garden with specimens from abroad including rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias, azaleas, tree ferns and bamboos. The garden is also home to the Penjerrick and Barclayi hybrid rhododendrons. The skeleton of a brain coral brought to Penjerrick by Captain FitzRoy of the Beagle (that was Charles Darwin's expedition ship) can be found in the garden.The lower part of Penjerrick is a dense valley garden reached by a wooden bridge. In this wild, jungle-like setting are four ponds and countless tree ferns that date back almost to the original planting of the garden. The tranquil garden (now owned by Rachel Morin) is at its best in April and May.

Falmouth School (formerly Trescobeas County Secondary School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Falmouth in the county of Cornwall.Previously a community school administered by Cornwall Council, Falmouth School converted to academy status on 1 August 2011. However the school continues to coordinate with Cornwall Council for admissions. The school also has plans to sell its playing fields to buy the former Budock Hospital site and turn it into a sports centre for use by the school and local community.Falmouth School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels, OCR Nationals, NVQs and further BTECs.In 2019, the school received a rating of "Inadequate" in an Ofsted inspection. A subsequent inspection in 2023 changed the rating to "Requires Improvement".

Penmere Manor Hotel near Falmouth, Cornwall, is a house of historical significance and is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in about 1825 by a wealthy sea captain and was the home of numerous notable people over the next 150 years. Kernick (Cornish: Karnek, meaning rocky place) is a settlement in west Cornwall, England, UK. It is a part of the town of Penryn, now a suburb of Falmouth. The name Kernick is a derivative of Cernic / Carnak meaning 'rocky' in Cornish, like Carnac in Brittany/Kernick is located near Mabe, a village on the edge of a new urban area. Kernick has thrived as an industrial area since the late 1970s with two industrial parks, and one large industrial estate, with about 100 factories. An Asda supermarket was recently constructed nearby, which has taken much business from the small town shops. Kernick is also thriving as a suburban housing area, with three housing estates in the vicinity, two of which (Littleoaks and Woodland Avenue) have in excess of 200 houses each. There is also another housing estate nearby, and a large area called Greenwood, which has in excess of 500 houses and bungalows. Kernick is also the site of the new Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC). There is also a place called Kernick in St Stephen in Brannel parish; the meaning here is "little corner" which also applies to Kernock, also in Cornwall.
